Pilates isn’t just a Reformer workout. It’s a system.
The word Pilates is everywhere these days, but Classical Pilates is so much more than exercising on a Reformer.
Created by Joseph Pilates, it is a complete movement system using a variety of apparatus to develop strength, mobility, alignment, coordination and breath. Every piece of equipment has a purpose, and together they create what we believe is the purest form of fitness.
At SW4 Pilates, we don’t just give you a workout, we teach your body to move better. We focus on quality of movement, balanced strength, healthy joints and what Joseph Pilates called “uniform development.”
You’ll stand taller, move more freely, and discover muscles you never knew existed.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, an athlete, recovering from injury, or simply want to move and feel better, Classical Pilates meets you where you are.
Come and experience the real thing.

Sunday is the day that makes me think of my mother the most.
The food, the get-togethers, the chats, the coffee (after the Prosecco, of course 😉).
Such a wholesome day to spend with her.
Even when she used to come and visit me in London with my youngest just over two months old, she brought that same warmth and energy with her.
Somehow, whenever she was around, it always felt like Sunday.
I love that we get to give back to mothers on such a beautiful day. It means a lot.
And now, as a mum myself, I make sure I take some time for me before I pull together a whole Sunday lunch for my kids.
It’s my favourite part of the weekend. Daddy takes them to football, I go and work out, and I come back feeling better, stronger, and full of energy.
When you’re a mum, whatever you do is never just for you anymore. And on a deeper level, even the things you do for yourself affect them too. They see you smile, they feel your energy, and they notice the strength you radiate.
What better day to celebrate that than Sunday 🤍

We’ve made the decision to stop using ClassPass at SW4 Pilates.
This wasn’t a quick choice, but one that reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, and the experience we want to offer our clients.
ClassPass initially felt like a great way to introduce new people to the studio. However, over time it’s become clear that it no longer supports the way we operate.
With very low pay per booking, many of our classes were running at little to no profit. As a small studio with limited spaces, highly trained teachers, and rising overheads, this simply isn’t sustainable.
There’s also a mismatch in policies. ClassPass allows cancellations up to 12 hours before with no penalty to the client, which often left us covering teacher costs without being paid. This creates an imbalance that small businesses like ours can’t absorb long-term.
Most importantly, we believe in consistency and progression. Our method is built on commitment, personalised guidance, and building a strong foundation over time. ClassPass, by nature, encourages studio-hopping, making it harder for clients to experience the real benefits of classical Pilates.
We are proud to offer small, focused classes (max 4 people), where every client is seen, supported, and progressed with care. That level of attention and quality requires a different structure.
The good news is that we’re finding more meaningful ways to grow our community: through word of mouth, referrals, and clients who truly value the work we do.
If you’ve been thinking of joining us, this is your sign 🤍
Thank you for supporting a small, independent studio.

Pregnancy is the ultimate expression of functional strength, where the body adapts, supports, and creates, all at once.

I can’t have another baby… I can’t have another baby… someone remind me please 😂🫠
This little one has been doing Pilates since she was just a wish in the sky ✨ From in-utero to postnatal, she’s completely at home in the studio.
Watching her get inspired by her mum’s movement, the smiles, the giggles… my heart honestly can’t take it 🥺🩷
I work with so many prenatal clients and I love every part of that journey… but when they come back and bring their little bubbas with them? That’s the magic for me. That’s what it’s all about 🤍
