Back on 23rd May, four of our more senior athletes took part in the first match of the NAL (National Athletics League). Three vaulters swapped their usual vests for those of to help secure a second place score at the end of the day, as higher claim athlete's.
We will follow their progress with interest as the matches go on...

Once again, on Sunday 10th May, our second group of fabulous vaulters headed to the K2 in Crawley, for day 2 of the County Championships.
All of our girls did amazingly well and should be as proud of themselves as we are.
Special mentions to Jess D, Iris, and Suzie, for their new PBs. And of course to our medalists: Suzie 🥉, Sylvie 🥈, and Flo 🥇 - Under 16 Girls; Imogen 🥇 - Under 20 Women; Tahlya 🥇 - Senior Women.

Last Saturday, 9th May, our Under 16 men, under 18 women and under 20 men, too part in the Sussex Athletics County Championships at K2 in Crawley.
As is so often the case, it was a day of highs and some lows, but, as always, we were so proud of all of our vaulters and their incredible efforts.
A special mention for Milo, Luca, Isaac and Jess H, who all reached new PB heights; and of course a shout out to all of our medalists: Isaac 🥉, Luca 🥈, Milo 🥇 - for U16M; Beth B 🥉, Alice 🥈, Ava 🥇 - for U8W; and Dylan 🥇 - for U20M.

Well done to Florence Matten (U16) and Naomi Newman (U14), who represented at the club’s YDL Premier League South debut at Woodford Green today!
They secured top points in the girls' pole vault events, with Naomi clearing a new PB! 📉✨
