Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club

Yesterday, we hosted a Bat Walk led by the Thames Landscape Strategy. Participants had the opportunity to observe bats, foxes, and badgers in their natural habitat. Additional walks will be taking place later in the year. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and engaging evening for everyone involved.

We had a successful litter-picking volunteer session today and even spotted some lovely wildlife, including a few adorable little visitors—ducklings! These sessions take place on the first Tuesday of every month, and we’d love for you to join us. Complimentary coffee is provided for everyone who takes part.

Today, we proudly opened the doors to our brand-new Halfway House. We were delighted to welcome our first visitors, including the Ladies’ Vice Captain, Men’s Captain, Chairman, and former Ladies’ Captain. It is truly rewarding to see such a significant project come to life.

Today we held our first “Build a Hibernacula” volunteering session.
Apart from the plants everything else was sourced from other projects across the course.
Big thanks to our Sustainability Manager, Claire Silva, for running the session. Hibernacula’s provide important refuge for reptiles and amphibians, supporting the boroughs biodiversity action plans.

Thanks to your generosity, we were delighted to present over £77k to Backup and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices charities. Both shared how remarkable the amount raised was and the enormous difference it will make to those with spinal injuries and children with life limiting conditions they support.
