Congratulations to Alice, Annabel and Alexia who all passed their C test this afternoon. Congratulations also to Freddie, who flew through his care section and will take his ride test as soon as he's back in the saddle.

Thank you to Plantation Farm for the use of the yard and arena, to Amy Robbins for assessing, and Susy Butler for preparing them all.

Super well done Georgie & Lad with 9th place in a very competitive Eventing Championship.

It was a bit of a long shot, after such a short time together, but G & Lad had an incredible time at PC90 Eventing Champs. Dressage was tolerated, SJ was smaller than Lad was expecting (😂), and XC was super - just need to work on going a slightly longer route to add a bit of time! To finish in 9th at their first Eventing Champs was a thrill! The ground was remarkable (huge thanks to Lloyd Hunt and team!), and everything ran beautifully to time. Big big thanks to The Pony Club UK Official & all volunteers for all the effort that goes in to these events, & to for awesome commentary 😂, and Richard Mosley for the sage & steadying advice. Everything at the event was handled so smoothly and safely. We thoroughly enjoyed it all. As ever… soooooo grateful to Michelle Woolmer and Ella Woolmer for letting us have such a lovely lovely time with the superstar that is Lad 🤩🤩🤩

After last weekend in Tetrathlon, Georgie G is competing with Big Lad again in Eventing this week.

🏆 🏆🏆 Pony Club Polo 🏆🏆🏆

For the first time in many years, The Vine Pony Club qualified a Jopps team to play at Cowdray in the Pony Club Polo Championships. Charlie (Vine), Harry (North Staffs), Miles (Cotswold) and Anthony (HH) have worked together to improve over the qualifiers. They made it to the final of Jopps Division 3, which ended as a 0-0 draw and The Vine won the run down making them Jopps Division 3 champions!

Charlie joined the RA team with his other pony Topic, and together they won Jorrocks Divison 2 and the Texaco Cup for best turned out team.

The icing on the cake for Charlie was being awarded the Rupert Thorneloe Memorial Cup for the best U10 Jorrocks player.

Pony Club Polo is great fun and you don’t need a polo pony to join the Jorrocks and Handley Cross sections. Plans are in place to run training sessions over the winter. Please get in touch if you would like to get involved and join us at Cowdray next year!

Georgie had a wonderful weekend with the Area 13 Junior Tet team. While the shoot didn’t go quite to plan, the swim was an equal PB, and the run strong, over a tough course, on a hot day. The ride was challenging, but the 2026 season set Lad and Georgie up for success, and saw them become one of only 21 (of the 80 combinations) to achieve the hallowed 1400 score.

They finished 30th overall, and G had a brilliant time at the party with the Area 13 team, all dressing as Australian relay team for the Commonwealth theme.

Georgie would like to thank the Vine PC, and particularly Tet Manager, Katie Wallis, for support and the training, the Woolmers for the opportunity to ride the awesome Lad, the Rees family and Area 13 tet, Richard Mosley, as ever, for his guidance and support, and everyone who makes the Championship happen.
