Just a remainder that tonight, we have our second Tri Talk : "Qualifying for the World Championships while at Imperial"

ICTri is super excited to welcome back one of the most inspiring ICTri alumni, Anna Lawson! In her final year, alongside smashing her ChemEng degree, Anna also managed to win her age group at Ironman France, qualifying for the World Championships in Kona - a result many of us would dream of! If that wasn’t enough, she managed to repeat this feat in 2019.

ICTri hosts its very own Autumn Virtual Lockdown Duathlon!

Since BUCS Duathlon won’t be going on, we have planned for this online alternative. Let’s put all that training to good use!

THE DUATHLON
Friday 20th November – RUN 2 miles
Saturday 21st November – CYCLE 10 miles outdoors or on Zwift!
Sunday 22nd November – RUN 2 miles

The competition will be FREE to enter. We are using the OpenTrack platform to manage it so you will need to sign up there: https://data.opentrack.run/en-gb/x/2020/GBR/ictri-virtual-duathlon/

The Imperial Triathlon Website has had a revamp this summer and will now be regularly kept up to date, this is a great point of call for information about the club!

Hey Guys, Welcome to Imperial College Triathlon Club (or ICTri, if you know you know)!!
We are very excited to welcome you both online and in-person this year.

During FRESHERS FORTNIGHT, we will run a big variety of taster events you can join for FREE:

THURSDAY 8th
- 10am: Twitch live core workout (online, twitch)
SATURDAY 10th
- 10am: (weather dependant): Freshers Run (Hyde park)
MONDAY 12th
- 7am: Swim Taster session #1 (Ethos Swimming pool, South Kensington campus)
-5pm: Circuit (online)
TUESDAY 13th
- 7am: Swim Taster session #2 (Ethos Swimming pool, South Kensington campus)
WEDNESDAY 14th:
-2.30pm: Intro to cycling in Richmond Park #1 (Roehampton gate (Richmond park) or queens tower at 1:30pm (the big tower at imperial))
-7pm: Virtual Social: Meet the Families
THURSDAY 15th
-6pm: Intervals (Hyde park)
FRIDAY 16th
-7.30am: Live core session on Team (cosy at home, join the team via the link in the description)
SATURDAY/SUNDAY 17/18th
-10am: Intro to cycling in Richmond Park #2 (Roehampton gate 10am or Queens Tower 9am)

TRI FAMILIES
This year we are introducing ICTri families! You will be assigned a family consisting of a mix of 'children', 'parents' and 'grandparents'. Don't worry if you don't initially bond with your new family, there will be plenty of swaps to ensure mingling between all members. This will definitely be the best way to meet old and new members of the club alike, and for you to ask your questions about Triathlon (our wise grandparents know pretty much everything about the sport, from swimming techniques, how to improve your running, how to take care of your bike, etc).
