NEWS: Junior Supporter Conduct.

We are proud of the fantastic support our younger fans bring to Quorn Football Club and want Farley Way Stadium to remain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. However, we have become increasingly concerned about some behaviour at recent matches and need to remind our younger supporters of the standards expected whilst attending games.

We would like everyone to understand that the club has a responsibility to manage spectator behaviour. If incidents continue, Quorn FC could face disciplinary action from the Football Association, which could have consequences for the club as a whole, including playing matches behind closed doors. We know the vast majority of our supporters behave responsibly, and we are asking for everyone's help to ensure that remains the case.

To help ensure the safety and enjoyment of all spectators, footballs are no longer permitted inside the stadium. Anyone found playing ball games while a match is in progress will be asked to stop immediately and will have the ball confiscated. Repeated breaches will result in a ban from future fixtures.

In addition, supporters must not enter the field of play before 5:30pm on Saturdays or at any time during a midweek matchday. Anyone entering the pitch without permission will be barred from the site.

We hope these measures will not be necessary and ask parents, guardians and supporters to help us reinforce these expectations. If behaviour does not improve, the club will have no option but to introduce a policy requiring all supporters under the age of 16 to be accompanied by an adult when attending matches.

We appreciate the support of our fans and thank everyone for helping us create a positive and welcoming matchday experience for players, officials, volunteers and spectators alike.

FIXTURE NEWS: FC United Trip Moved.

Quorn Football Club have received confirmation from the Northern Premier League that their first visit to Broadhurst Park will be pushed back ten days from Saturday the 17th of October to Tuesday the 27th (19:45). The move became necessary due to the Red Rebels continuing run in the Emirates FA Cup. FC won 3-0 away to National League North side Worksop Town in the third qualifying round and are set to make the short trip to Altrincham in the fourth round instead of hosting the Reds.

The two sides have met once before, when Quorn defeated their, much fancied, hosts at Bury’s Gigg Lane in the FA Vase almost 20 years ago. Nigel Julien scored the winning goal as the Reds would go on to reach the fifth round that season, the clubs best performance in the competition. FC United will no doubt be looking to avenge the defeat in just under three weeks time.

Quorn welcome Workington to Farley Way for the first time in what looks to be an exciting match as the Methodists hope to build on their recent good run whilst the other Reds will be intent on maintaining their place in the top five.

Quorn’s Form:

After an impressive 4-2 win away at Bamber Bridge, The Reds were back at home on Tuesday night to welcome Ashton United. The Methodists were a goal behind at the break and then went two down mid-way through the second half but fought back brilliantly to 2-2 for a well-earned point. Freddie Cook scored his first for the club as the draw was enough to keep the Reds outside the relegation zone on goal difference.

The Opposition:

Workington have had a very impressive start to the season and sit in fifth place in the league. Workington also played out a 2-2 draw on Tuesday night, away at Warrington Town. This was their second draw in a row with a 1-1 draw against the current league leaders Cleethorpes Town at the weekend. Also known as the Reds, the last league win for Workington came away to Emley, where they secured a 3-1 victory.

Head-to-Head:

This will be the first meeting between the two teams

One-to-Watch:

Brennan Dickenson is a 33-year-old left sided defender or midfielder who has played for numerous clubs, mostly much higher up the leagues. Clubs such as Brighton and Hove Albion, AFC Wimbledon, Northampton Town, Gillingham, Colchester United, Exeter and Carlisle United are listed on his CV. His most recent club was Queen of the South, in Scotland, where he made 45 appearances before linking up with Workington this summer.

Ticket Prices:

Adults: £13.00, Concessions: £9.00, Under 16s: £4.00, Under 12s: Free

ICYMI: There's still plenty of action at Farley Way this week. Workington make the long trip down from Cumbria for a 15:00 KO against the first team on Saturday afternoon.

As if that wasn't enough, Carlton Town host our U18s in the Midweek Floodlit League on Wednesday evening (20:00 KO) as the Millers are the home side in the first of their scheduled derbies this season.

The Vets continue their league campaign with a Friday night match against The FA Trust (19:30 KO) & our U16s are also in league action on Saturday morning (10:00 KO) as they welcome Easington Sports.
