It's a hot one today, so we will be taking it a tad easy tonight with lots of breaks and more work on the syllabus for grading awards.

Only a few hours to go for our NLA randori event.
It will be warm.... so what...
We will have plenty of hydration breaks.
We will have the doors open and the fans on.
We will have water available from the kitchen.
We will have short and sharp randori nage waza and ne waza. And, plenty of rests.

Massive congratulations to our Senior Coach Richard Hobbs on winning Gold today at the High Wycombe Masters Championships. Four fights four stunning wins, with 3 ippons and a wazari to secure a first place podium.

Here's a little technique I used plenty of times over the years when an opponent went to all fours or completely to ground. It's important to keep a strong positive posture with one knee down, the other up, and with having both feet in contact with the mat, making it easy and quick to change the direction that you are facing by just swapping knees.
As my voice is garbage these days, I have removed any talk over.

Apologise for the delay... but... what a fantastic day:
The BJC Open National Championships.
had four entries with two becoming Open National Champions. Richard Hobbs securing Gold in a tough group of eight competitors and Angelo Mayot (Ring) also going Gold.
Adam Hobbs and Dominykas Misionas having equally tough groups and both managing to secure a win to gain 5th place each but only just missing out on the podium for bronze medals.
It gave me great pleasure to be able to award the medal ceremony and I am so proud of the effort everyone made.
