Huge well done to Herbie who finished 2nd in the English u20 National Champs! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🥈

After a strong season in America, Herbie was able to handle the last lap burn up, finishing 2nd in England and 3rd in the open race! 💨

PB time again, 13.82m in the Shot at the Loughborough open Wednesday. Well done Zack and good luck to all our SAL team for Sunday at Luton

Excellent performances today from the Luton Throwers at the South of England Championships in Bedford.

A very respectable 5th place for Jo Blair with 39.67m, in the wet still nursing an Achilles injury. 👏

2 bronze medals for Zack Grinsted , 43.85m in the Discus and 13.35 in the Shot. Shot was wet and slippery so to only be 11cm below his pb is outstanding. 🥉 🥉

Jamie Potton-Burrell throws tomorrow in a very high standard hammer competition

Another big pb for Zack at the Loughborough open. 45.12 with the Discus, which is over the England Athletics championship qualifying standard and 7th in the UK at U23. Still more to come from him and Jordan this season 👊👊👊

Busy weekend for our Luton athletes ☀️

We had a great turnout at the East of England Championships in Cambridge whilst our u10s and u12s competed in the Youth Athletics meet at Bedford! 💪

The Luton AC throwers were in action for their higher Claim National League Clubs.
Starting with Jordan in action for Windsor in the Premier League who threw a new pb in the discus of 44.03m (8th) 👊👏 and followed up with 50.58m (10th) in Javelin in a very long day in the heat.
Then Jo for SBH in Championship East, 37.77m (2nd) Jav and 23.02m in Discus.👏
Suzy for Basingstoke in Championship South, Hammer 37.50m (4th), Discus 29.73m (4th), Jav 18.80m (7th) and Shot 8.31m (8th)👏
Zack for Crawley also in Championship South, Hammer 32.22 (1st), Shot 13.02m (2nd) and a big PB in the discus by over 2mt of 44.15m. 👊👏

Great performances especially considering it was around 30 deg 👊👊👊👊😎😎😎

Cracking day at the Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire combined county Champs for the Luton AC Men throwers.

In the Bedfordshire Champs:
Hammer Jamie Potton-Burrell Gold (53.92) and David Burrell rolling back the years and throwing 2 weights above his masters weight with a very creditable 27.87.
Discus 123 for Luton - Zack Grinsted Gold with a new pb of 41.87, Jordan Davies in Silver with very respectable 39.93m and Jamie in Bronze (33.59m).
Javelin - Jordan in Gold with 53.56m (off the back of a month of being ill).
Shot - Zack in Gold with 13.37 his second biggest throw ever

In the Under 20 men’s age Group
Benjamin Ohwariovbe in Gold in Discus (29.71) and Silver in Shot (12.44)

In the Hertfordshire Champs:
2 Bronzes for Geoff Grinsted in the M50 Shot and Discus.

A huge thanks to all the officials that gave up so much time to make this possible and Good Luck to all the ladies later today.

PB alert.. new Shot PB for Zack Grinsted 13.46m, representing Loughborough Uni, to qualify for the Shot final later today at BUCS Championship
