🚭 SMOKING BAN – FINAL WARNING 🚭

Despite clear signage around the course and repeated messages from our starters, some golfers are continuing to ignore the temporary smoking ban.

The ban is in place because the course is extremely dry and there is a serious risk of fire. This is about protecting our course, our staff, our customers and the surrounding area.

Effective immediately: if you are caught smoking on the golf course after ignoring the signage and instructions from our starters, you will be asked to leave the course.

There will be no exceptions.

Smoking remains permitted in the designated areas outside the clubhouse and on the patio. Please dispose of ci******es responsibly.

We do not want to ask anyone to leave, but we will not allow the actions of a few people to put the course and others at risk.

Please respect the ban. If you choose to ignore it, you will be asked to leave.

Thankfully the greenkeepers’ witchcraft ritual has paid off… 🧙‍♂️⛳️🌧️

🔥 An Unexpected Day at Bird Hills 🔥

Yesterday we experienced an unexpected electrical fire onsite after an SEC transformer failed and blew up, resulting in a complete power outage across the site.

Thankfully, thanks to the quick thinking and incredible teamwork of our staff, the fire was brought under control before the Fire Service arrived. Everyone acted swiftly, calmly and professionally, helping to keep the situation safe.

A huge thank you to our local Fire & Emergency Service for their rapid response and support. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do to keep our community safe. 👨‍🚒🚒

We'd also like to say a massive well done to our amazing team for responding so quickly and effectively during a stressful situation. We couldn't be prouder of how everyone handled it.

We sincerely apologise to everyone affected by our early closure yesterday. Unfortunately, with the transformer failure, we lost all power and had no choice but to close for the remainder of the day.

✅ The good news is that we're back up and running and OPEN as normal today!

Important Notice

Due to an electrical fire at our front entrance, we unfortunately need to close the clubhouse and driving range early today.

The golf course will remain open as normal, but the clubhouse and driving range are now closed until further notice while we deal with the situation.

We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We will provide further updates as soon as we have more information.
