Our aims are to promote the sport of sailing and the art of seamanship through training as an RYA accredited centre.
MLSC is the birthplace of the Old Gaffers Association The origins of the Maldon Little Ship Club go back to the 1920s from the formation of the London Little Ship Club, formed in 1926. Well done all, we deserved
Maldon Town Council is delighted to announce that Councillor James Burrell-Cook has been elected as Town Mayor for the 2026–27 civic year, following the Annual Meeting of the Town Council on 26 May 2026.
Cllr Burrell-Cook succeeds outgoing Mayor Cllr John Driver and will be supported by his husband, Paul Burrell-Cook, as Consort. Councillor Carlie Mayes has been appointed Deputy Town Mayor, with Glenn Mayes DL serving as Consort.
The new Mayor has chosen Farleigh Hospice and Essex & Herts Air Ambulance as his charities for the year ahead.
Congratulations to the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor as they begin their civic year serving the Maldon community.
