A Good day out for the boys in blue at the Bath Combination 7’s🔵

After 2 tricky games to start the group off, Melksham shifted to a new gear with a big win against Corsham to see them through to the Plate🍽️

After a great showing in the semi-final, towards the end the lads ran out of steam and were beaten by a young Devizes team.

However lots of positives to take from the day including a lot of fitness 🥵

🔵Bath Combination 7s🔵

Melksham RFC first squad of the season sees us go to Avon RFC taking in part in the Bath Combination 7s.

Skipper Owen Hayden will lead the group of 12 hoping to gain some more fitness and potentially a bit of silverware👀

Games start at 10:30 with Melksham’s 1st at 11:10 up against Oldfield

🚨Pre-Season Fixtures🚨

The 26/27 season is well and truly underway with lads working hard on the training field. Penciled in are a number of fixtures looking to benefit the squad before the season truly begins.

Saturday 1st August - Bath Combination 7s - To start the season off, a squad has been entered into the tournament at Avon RFC, looking to gain fitness and potentially some silverware🏅

Saturday 15th August - Phil Stone Memorial Game - Melksham RFC will hold a game in memory of Phil Stone which will be a great occasion for all. Further updates and information will be out soon. 💙

Saturday 22nd August - Frome II - The first proper test for Melksham see us go to Gypsy Lane against Frome. This will be great for lads to practice their crafts closer to the season 🏃‍➡️

Friday 28th August - Calne RFC - Friday night lights at Oakfields. The first game back at home, hoping for a great crowd and more minutes under the belt. 💡

Saturday 5th September - Colerne RFC - One final test before the 1s season begin, the boy go to Colerne for final preparations. 🏉

Saturday 12th September- Colerne RFC - Whilst the 1s are away to North Dorset, the 2s will have a final game at home against the home side from the week before. 👀

As our weekend chef, you’ll be the fuelling force behind our players, members, and visitors—especially during those high-energy match days and club events!

🍳 What You’ll Be Doing:
🔹Preparing and cooking delicious meals for hungry players, members, and guests.
🔹Keeping our kitchen sparkling clean and maintaining top-tier food hygiene standards.
🔹Helping out with menu planning and keeping track of stock.
🔹Thriving under pressure during busy match days and club events.

📋 What We’re Looking For:
🔹Previous cooking or catering experience (preferred, but a great attitude goes a long way!).
🔹Solid knowledge of food hygiene and a commitment to kitchen safety.
🔹Someone who works brilliantly independently but loves being part of a team.
🔹Must be available on weekends (when the real rugby magic happens!).
