Dear Students,

Starting in September 2026, the cost of every membership plan will increase by £5. This is our first price increase since we began providing martial arts training, and it is necessary to offset the rising rent at our current facility.

We hope this adjustment will have only a limited effect on you. Families with more than two memberships will be eligible for discounts. We greatly value our relationship with you and hope this change will not affect it.

All current subscriptions will end on their respective purchase-date anniversaries. You will need to purchase a new subscription in order to acknowledge and accept these changes.

Gym techniques - Gain muscles: strength training that carries into every round. 🥊💪

We’ve pulled together the essentials on warm-ups and muscle prep because a few smart minutes before a lift make your sessions safer and your gains steadier. In the post I cover how often to work each muscle (at least twice a week), the hypertrophy sweet spot (3-4 sets of 8-12 reps), and why progressive overload is the non‑negotiable if you want to keep improving. I also explain when machines can help you learn form and when free weights build the stability you need for explosive striking.

Nutrition matters too - aim for a slight calorie surplus when you’re bulking and target around 1.4 g of protein per kg to support recovery and growth. Do this right and you’ll notice better power, cleaner technique, and more endurance in sparring and pads.
