OUR JUNIOR SPARRING SESSION IS GETTING AN UPGRADE! 🥊

We’re excited to be upgrading our Junior Sparring session to Junior Sparring / Padwork!

📅 Same day. Same time.
Every Wednesday, 5:15–6:15pm.

This new format gives our junior boxers more choice over how they want to train:

🥊 Want to spar? You can spar.
🥊 Prefer padwork? Work directly with one of our coaches on the pads.
🥊 Want to do both? You can!

Sparring is completely optional, so there’s no expectation that everyone attending needs to spar.

For those taking part in sparring, all protective equipment is provided, but each participant must bring a well-fitted gum shield to take part.

The aim is to give our juniors the opportunity to get some quality sparring rounds in or work directly with our coaches on their technique, skills and combinations on the pads.

We’re really excited to make the session more flexible and give our junior boxers even more ways to develop! 👊🥊

WE’RE GOING TO MK PRIDE! 🥊🏳️‍🌈

We’re excited to announce that Box Fit Centre will be at this year’s MK Pride Festival!🎉

Next Saturday, we’ll be joining the community at MK Pride to meet people, have some fun, talk boxing and, most importantly, listen. ❤️

We’re currently exploring the idea of creating a new LGBTQ+ inclusive box fit session here at Box Fit Centre and we don’t want to make assumptions about what people want or need.

We want to hear directly from the community about what would make a box fit session feel:

🏳️‍🌈 Inclusive
💪 Empowering
❤️ Comfortable
🔥 Fun
🤝 A place where everyone can be themselves

We’ll be at our stall throughout the day with fun boxing activities, challenges and plenty of opportunities to come and chat with us!

🥊 ♥️ Bletchley Amateur Boxing Club continues to punch high ♥️ 🥊

For Kevin McCarthy, boxing has never simply been a sport. It has been a huge influence on his life since the age of eight.

After his first contest aged just 10 and following more than 60 amateur bouts, Kevin turned professional in 1996 and became Southern Area Welterweight Champion.

But when Kevin retired in 2000, he struggled with the loss of something that had been such a big part of his life.
