🏡🐶 Relocation: Sarah, Toby and Frank returned to Suffolk and found Bloor home bliss in Felixstowe! Read their story:

"For us, our journey to our new home in Suffolk has been about finding our way back home - quite literally! We were originally from Felixstowe, so Suffolk has always been a very special place for us. It was where we had our roots, our family and so many memories."

An adventure had saw them give life a go in The Lakes and they loved all that Cumbria had to offer - but, it wasn’t 'home'.

They made the decision to move back to Suffolk and be closer to family - and once the decision was made, the more it felt like the right thing to do.

Relocating to Suffolk and buying a new Bloor home:

"Finding somewhere we could call home was the exciting part and when we discovered our Bloor Leighton, something just clicked. We could immediately see ourselves living here. It wasn’t just about buying a new house. We were looking for our forever home.

"Our experience with Bloor Homes was fantastic from start to finish. The sales team were so friendly, helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. They were always approachable and made what could have been an even more stressful experience feel much easier.

"We especially loved the little weekly updates that would arrive on a Sunday morning. These were invaluable to us because, being 7 hours away in Cumbria, we couldn’t simply pop by and see how things were progressing. Those updates meant we could still feel involved in the build and watch our home taking shape from afar."

What Sarah and Toby are enjoying most about their new Bloor home:

"We're enjoying putting our own stamp on the house, creating a home which feels warm, welcoming and comfortable, with a soft, timeless and slightly country feel.

"The kitchen is one of our favourite rooms. The beautiful Providence Blue cupboards and herringbone Amtico flooring, plus all the little details we’ve added along the way have made it feel like a space that truly belongs to us.

"And, of course, our home wouldn’t be complete without our cheeky little dachshund, Franky!"🐾

And there’s more! 🎉

NHBC hosted two more regional awards and we’re proud to say Andy Hodkin from our East Midlands region, and Dan Godwin and John Billington, both from our Western region, have all been awarded a Pride in the Job Seal of Excellence. Congratulations!

These three, excellent site managers are amongst just 30 from the NHBC’s North East and West regions to receive a Seal of Excellence this year; judging is rigorous and the recipients are regarded as the best of the best.

Andrew Bloxham Managing Director for our East Midlands region, said: "This is a fantastic achievement for Andy Hodkin and the entire Wharncliffe Park team. To be the first Site Manager in the East Midlands to receive the Seal of Excellence is a real testament to his hard work, commitment, and dedication to delivering the highest standards. Congratulations to Andy and the whole team on this well-deserved recognition."

The ultimate hosting garden! 😍 Mark's transformed the outdoor space surrounding his Bloor home at Arden Grange in Coventry this year, and he's created an impressive entertaining space that's perfect for hosting family and friends. 🥂🎶

To christen the completed garden, Mark invited his new neighbours at Arden Grange over to come and enjoy the newly finished space and had a great time was had by all.

It's true that your garden should feel like an extension to your home, and walking out to space like this... well, it's got to feel good hasn't it!

Our 2026 Pride in the Job celebrations continue! 🎉 Mark Butler, Site Manager for our Banbury Rise development in Oxfordshire was awarded a prestigious Seal of Excellence award at the NHBC Pride in the Job Central Region awards last week. 🏆

Earlier this year, 1,000s of inspections with meticulous scoring and detailed verifications took place by NHBC to determine 450 Quality Award winners across the country, announced in June.

All 450 Quality award recipients are now competing at the NHBC’s regional awards rounds this autumn; Mark is one of just thirteen recipients of the sought-after Seal of Excellence Award in the NHBC’s Central region!

We’re helping Aylesbury based charity, Youth Concern, unlock £30,000 for Aylesbury Vale's young people! 💙

In Buckinghamshire, an estimated 983 young people aged 16 to 24 are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and youth homelessness in Aylesbury Vale is 22% higher than the national average. Youth Concern works directly with young people facing these challenges, alongside poor mental health and other pressures that can leave them feeling lost and without support. The aim is to help them find safety, stability and hope, and move towards brighter, more independent futures.

Their quest to unlock £30,000 of much needed funding comes after they were approached by The McFarlane Family Foundation who pledged £15,000 to Youth Concern, on the condition that it first raises a matching £15,000 from organisations that have never previously supported them.

Youth Concern reached out to our Weston Mead Grange team who are building a collection of 3, 4 and 5-bed energy efficient new homes locally, and were understandably, very keen to help.

We encourage other local companies in Aylesbury and the surrounding area to also support Youth Concern for the first time and help them reach their target.
