Well done to all the 801 participants at this morning’s parkrun , glad to see the rain didn’t make an appearance today! A big welcome to those participating for the first tjme, all the tourists and off course to our regulars too ☺️. A huge thank you to all those who volunteered today , as ever the hi-viz unsung heroes making parkrun run as smooth as possible. A special congratulations to Mark our regular volunteer for getting his 100th milestone (97 of which from the Marshall corner on the far side of the lake!). I really hope you all had a great parkrun this morning and in the words of Blur “All the people , so many people , they all go hand in hand , hand in hand for their parkrun!”. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend ahead of yourselves too ☺️☺️

Don’t forget there is no MK parkrun today as it’s the Race For Life Pretty Muddy.
There is also no Bury Field parkrun so we strongly recommend you try out an event further afield to avoid overcrowding at Linford Wood.

Well done to all 882 participants at parkrun this morning.
It was with great sadness that we had our last coffees from Change Please and we are sure you will all want to say thank you to all the staff and wish them the very best in their future endeavours.

This morning was a scorcher of an event! 🌞We had a healthy number of participants (873) supported by a host of volunteers (49).
We also had a fantastic compliment of pacers this morning, leading anyone who wanted a PB to attempt their best times. 🏃🏼🏃🏻♀️🚶🏼♀️🚶
Thank you to everyone for navigating the geese and their many goslings safely! We are pleased to confirm no geese were harmed in the running of today's event! 🐥 😀
FYI, this week is the last week that you will receive a text informing you of your result or thanking you for volunteering. However, email notifications will continue as usual.
Lastly, a quick reminder that MK parkrun will be cancelled on 6th June due to a local charity event that day. Bury Fields parkrun are also cancelled that day. Please plan a different parkrun for that day other than Linford Wood Parkrun so that they are not overwhelmed and we preserve the anicient woodland area we are lucky enough to have here. You could always visit Linford Wood another Saturday. 🚫

Another Saturday, another parkrun!
However, today was no ordinary parkrun day for two of our participants though as they ran prior to getting married today! Amy Thorburn and Daniel Briscoe (pictured) have an amazing day!! 🤵♂️👰♂️
Doug Sellers and Andy Emmerso celebrated their 250th parkruns today too. 🥳
Thanks as always to our amazing volunteers and welcome to all those who volunteered for the first time. A special mention for Hayden who did his first DofE volunteering today and did the first timers briefing of all things to kick this off. Massive kudos to you! 👏
Have a fab weekend. Next weekend is a bank holiday so why not kick it off by volunteering in the community with us... 😉

Saturday 9th May saw 983 participants take part on a beautifully sunny, if a little warm, event. We had a fantastic 60 volunteers assist by marshaling, time keeping, bar code scanning, token sorting plus all of the many essential roles we have, to run each event. Volunteers, we love you and couldn't do it without you!
Great support was also given by two VI guides, Symela and Sarah, this week and Vicky who signed for the RD's briefing. Your assistance is greatly appreciated and helps our event be inclusive. 💜
Camille celebrated her 25th event and Sanna celebrated her 250th! We also were joined by a team of hens from Leighton Buzzard fun runners who were celebrating Jenny's Hen party! Good luck to you and your intended, Jenny!
If you want to volunteer for next Saturday please email [email protected]
New and seasoned volunteers welcome!

What a beautiful start to the weekend with a glorious sunny parkrun this morning. We had 897 participants and a big well done to them all , you are all fantastic, and always a huge welcome to all our tourists and first timers! We also had 55 volunteers so a big thank you to you superstars, you are all unsung heroes! Best of luck to all those completing the London Marathon and other running events this weekend as well. Have a wonderful weekend everyone and see you all soon!
We also had Jenson today running/walking the event , he is usually pushed around by my dad but today alongside his family , he was taking part and raising money for the National Autistic Society. Jenson was diagnosed with autism when he was 3 years old and is now 6 years old! So he and his family wanted to make as many people aware as possible that those with neurodiversity can have a more inclusive live through education and understanding. This also happens to be during National Autism Month so a big kudos to Jenson and his family for getting around and I hope you raise as much money for those worthy cause, if anyone wishes to donate please follow the link below and find out more information too
