Blaze Touch, Reaseheath, Nantwich (2026)

07/10/2026

Saturday saw 2 equal squads head over to Chester for the first of the Winter Development series.
We saw tries scored by Debutants Adam, Harley, Hayden and Xanthe 🔥🔥. We also saw the return of Matthew back on the field after a year of recovery from his knee surgery and Lucy playing in her first comp for a number of years 👏👏👏.
Welcome back to competitive touch also to Matt and Neil Marshall 🔥🔥.

The sun shone ☀️ and both squads had an absolute ball - with the final game being played amongst ourselves ending in a nail biting 3 v 3 score!!

We were blessed to have both Siâny and Tom representing Blaze as full time referees and thanks also to those that stepped up to do the 3 slots that we were given as player refs 👏👏👏.

Congratulations to the winners of the Awards:-

🔥 BLAZE TOUCH – TONIGHT! 🔥

Touch is ON tonight and we’re ready to bring that trademark Blaze energy, big smiles, good graft, and the kind of vibes that make Tuesdays the best night of the week.

💛 Thanks for Last Week
Huge appreciation to everyone who came down and made last week such a brilliant session. The energy, the teamwork, the silliness... classic Blaze. You lot make every Tuesday feel special.

🏉 Welcome Back Rachel Ashley !
A massive, heartfelt welcome back to Rach, returning to the pitch for the first time since October 2025. It’s been a long road back from injury, and seeing her out there again is just magic.

Rach is also raising money for dementia support, so please follow along and show her some love. Blaze family backing her all the way:-

🔥 BLAZE TOUCH – TUESDAY ROUND‑UP 🔥

The heavens properly opened at the start of the session, a full soaking, shirts clinging, everyone instantly regretting not bringing a spare hoodie. But it didn’t dampen the Blaze spirit for a second. Once that first game was done, so was the rain… though the ball stayed super wet and slippy all night, adding a bit of chaos to every pass and offload.

💪 Age‑Grade Legends
Huge thanks to our age‑grade players who smashed their contact training beforehand and then joined us on the touch pitch for their cool‑down. That’s commitment, energy, and exactly the kind of crossover we love to see.

🎓 Tal’s Last Session (for now!)
A big Blaze goodbye to Tal, who had his final run with us before heading back to uni. You’ve been brilliant all summer, we’ll miss you, and we’ll be ready to welcome you back when you’re home.

❄️ Winter Tournament – Chester, 3rd October
Our first winter tournament is just around the corner.
Please get your name down, the more Blaze shirts on the pitch, the better.

🍻 Post‑Session Social
Loved having a little social drink afterwards great chats, great laughs, and the perfect way to round off a soggy but brilliant evening.

📍 Next Week
Have a great week, Blaze family.
See you all again next Tuesday at Reaseheath for a 7pm start.

17/09/2026

Fantastic to be back on the Reaseheath College 3G again - and a cracking turnout and great fun had by all, whoop, whoop.
Welcome to Tia, Andy and Megan for their first session with us 👏👏👏 and welcome back to esme , after her silver medal exploits for England Touch mixed 20s at the recent European Youth Championships and to .cullen 🔥🔥🔥who always brings a smile when she is back home and available to play 😊.
Touch families well represented on Tuesday with .nurse and Seren, Andy and Archie, Simon and Tia, , Tom Marshall and Neil, Megan and Oliver Jæmęs, Bob and , Kirsty Flude and Alex and Jamie and Mills. It was also good to see some family rivalry between Jamie and Mills on the scoring front ✅✅ with Mills currently leading … although Jamie’s dive to score was quite spectacular 🔥🔥Tremendous energy all evening on pitch 1 from the teams (felt amazingly quick in comparison to being on the grass).
Great work from our experienced players in ensuring everyone was made welcome and to those fairly new to the game in progressing your game understanding so quickly 👏👏.
Look forward to seeing you all next week. On a sad note 😢 it was our last session with Ed Hodgson as he heads back to University of Nottingham Touch Rugby Club where, we are sure, he will be honing his touch skills a little more! See you soon Ed.

🔥 BLAZE TOUCH – TUESDAY ROUND‑UP 🔥

The weather was surprisingly kind to us this week, warm enough to keep everyone moving, cool enough that we weren’t melting, and thankfully not to much rain. A perfect night for touch and a brilliant turnout on the grass.

💛 Welcome to the Crewe. A huge Blaze welcome to Harley and Simon, you both settled in brilliantly and brought great energy to the session.

And welcome back to Jamie and Mills, so good to have you both running around with us again.

💪 Full Commitment Award
Shout‑out to Alfie, Archie, and Denver, who joined us straight after finishing their contact training. That’s dedication. Blaze spirit at its finest.

😢 sad that we also had to say “Aurevoir” to Niall as he heads back to Uni life in York (where he will be helping to run/coach) their touch team 👏👏- “igniting” the passion with established and new players alike 🔥🔥

🌱 Our Last Night on the Grass 😢
This session marked our final run on the grass at malbank for the season and you all made it a good one. Big effort, big laughs, and plenty of quality touch to finish things off.

📍 Next Week
We’re at Reaseheath next Tuesday for a 7pm start. Boots ready, water bottles filled, and let’s kick off Blaze Autumn/Winter with a bang 💥.

🔥 BLAZE TOUCH – TUESDAY NIGHT ROUND‑UP 🔥

As the evenings get shorter and we squeeze every last bit of light out of a Tuesday, the Blaze energy absolutely carried us. Two pitches, four teams, and that unmistakable buzz that makes these sessions feel golden, even as the sun disappears faster each week.

👋 Welcome to Simon
A huge welcome to Simon, who picked up the game so quickly it’s almost like he’s been secretly studying from the sidelines while his son became a national champion. You’re a natural, brilliant to finally have you joining in.

🥇 Welcome Back, Hannah
So good to have Hannah back from Vichy, where she won gold with the England Women’s 40s team. An incredible achievement, and even better to see you back on the pitch with us.

💛 Welcome Back, Isaac
After a few months off recovering from his operation, Isaac returned tonight and it was fantastic having you back out there.

🎓 Welcome Back, Lloydie
A big welcome back to Lloyd, who hasn’t played socially with us for at least four years while working on his PhD. Amazing to have you on a Tuesday again and an extra well‑done for achieving your Level 3 refereeing qualification. Huge achievement!!

Another brilliant night of Blaze spirit, even as the daylight fades, the energy never does 🖤💛

🔥 BLAZE TOUCH – TUESDAY ROUND‑UP 🔥

Another brilliant Tuesday night, four teams, two pitches, and a whole lot of Blaze energy. Everyone turned up buzzing, the pace was high from the first whistle, and the atmosphere was exactly what makes these sessions special.

👋 Welcome Back Crew
So good to have Lucy, Millie, Izzy, and Will back with us tonight, the pitch instantly felt fuller and faster.

💛 Sideline Love
A lovely shout to Del, who joined us post‑op on the sideline. Your support means the world, and we’re all hoping it won’t be long until you’re back out there running with us again.

🙌 New Starter Alert
A warm Blaze welcome to Archie for his first session, you slotted in brilliantly.

🏉 Parent Sideline Support
Huge thanks to all the parents cheering from the sidelines.

🟡 Referee Appreciation
Big thanks to Jules for refereeing tonight, calm, clear, and keeping everything flowing.

💪 Strength & Fitness Crew
Massive well‑done to the strength and fitness team who worked hard before the touch session, your graft sets the tone for everyone else.

Another cracking Tuesday, Blaze spirit through and through 🖤💛
