That’s one way to nearly throw a game away, we started slow with Audlem being the better side and taking the lead through a penalty. After about 20 minutes we kicked into gear, Radders equalising before Liam got himself another pre-season hat-trick. Max got his first for the Pirates before Will added a 6th in the first half. It could’ve been more. HT 6-1.

Second half less said the better. We gave away another two pens and couldn’t stem the tide. We managed to hang on to get the win. Plenty of lessons learnt and more fitness for players as the start of the season gets closer. FT 6-5.

Another good win today against a good Sandbach team, opened the scoring up with a brilliant finish from Wozza about 25 yards out, after great play from Will. Liam then added a second with a spectacular overhead kick following a headed clearance. Sandbach got one back with some great football, they went back to front and played through us to get one back. HT 2-1.

Second half though we took control, Eddie slipping Liam in with a great pass and a cool finish followed. Romone then got the 4th, Eddie playing Liam in again but after a good save from the keeper Romone was there to put it in. Liam then got his hat-trick, Caddy similar to Eddie’s assist played Liam in again and another calm finish to make it 5-1. The Gaffa then brought himself on to devastating effect, scoring a penalty and then a bullet header from a whipped in Caddy corner. FT 7-1.

Pre-Season rolls on, following last Sunday’s good result we face regular opponents Sandbach Town. Always a good battle against these lads and this weekend will be another good run out for the squad.

Solid win today against a good Brookvale side. We started a bit slow but took the lead through Mason getting another goal in pre-season. Brookvale replied, equalising from a corner. We then took the lead through Radders, Mason heading back across goal for him to tap in. HT 2-1.

Second half we made plenty of changes and both teams were pretty even. Brookvale equalised again after one ball through and their ST ran through to finish. We finished the second half well though, Alex again finishing a scramble in the box. Then Liam finally getting his goal after a few missed chances. FT 4-2.

Good luck to Brookvale for the season, a good set of lads.

Fair result in the end, pretty standard pre-season game with both teams making lots of changes with big squads. We took the lead through Mason, a dragged shot towards the corner and the Vine keeper didn’t manage to keep it out. HT 1-0.

Plenty of changes at HT to get lads on and the game was pretty even throughout. Vine got an equaliser with about 10 to go, a deflected shot was spinning towards Andy and similar to our first didn’t manage to keep it out. FT 1-1.

On Sunday we play our third fixture of pre-season. We face our new pub neighbours in FC Vine. No doubt another good test for the last as we continue our pre-season matches.

Another good performance today from the Pirates. Ruskin went 1-0 after their striker played through, we soon responded through Liam heading in a Dorian cross. We then took the lead from the penalty spot, Alex brought down and Liam calmly dispatched the pen. HT 2-1.

Pirates started quickly again, Dorian played through by Mikey and with a composed finish put us 3-1 up. Dorian picked himself up a brace as well as Liam, good play from Garnett allowed him to set Dorian up for his second. Ruskin grabbed a late consolation from the spot after a mistimed tackle from Spike. FT 4-2.

Good luck to Ruskin for their upcoming season in the Premier Division.
