Everyday, and especially today, we all at NFR stand up in solidarity with our trans and NB members and the wider local community as the ECHR guidance on single-sex spaces comes into being. We’ve been in conversation with our base at Gosforth Leisure Centre and no changes are occurring with our all-gender changing village - and they remain steadfast allies to us as a club 💕 . We will always continue to fight for the rights of our trans and NB members, friends and community - and know NFR will always be a safe and wholly inclusive space for you 🌈 ❤️

🌈 NFR x Gosforth Summer Relays 🌈

What an absolute perfect day to go relay-ing, and we were out in force with 7 teams taking part in the fabulous Gosforth Summer Relays in Great Park hosted by our friends Gosforth Harriers & AC🌈 😍

Well done to all our members, and for many this was their first ever relay event - incredible work and fantastic running from everyone 👏 ❤️

Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers - we will be back next year for the big 100 celebrations! 🥳

Wow, what an evening as last night we held our 15th, and dare we say most fabulous and colourful, Pride Run yet?Thank you all SO much for coming - the outfits, the colour, the community is what make this event so special 🌈

All entrants will receive a final email from our Pride Run leads tomorrow - so check your inboxes 📥 Just a reminder that our adult places are completely SOLD OUT and we just have a final few junior places remaining. These entries can be done on our website or on the night before 5.30pm

🏅 NFR x Run Through - Newcastle 10K/HM 🏅

Yesterday it was the third collaboration event between our club and RunThrough North East Newcastle 10K and HM. Chances are if you raced this event you were cheered on and supported by our fab club volunteers 🌈 Also, we had some runners out enjoying both races, and many of whom smashed their PBs - an incredible achievement, especially given the heat! 🔥 👏

Thanks to all our amazing members who gave up their time to support this really important event for us, and we hope everyone who ran enjoyed it - and the amazing Pride medal 🌈 ✨

Along with our Endure24 teams, we had more superstars out this weekend bringing home medals. Firstly, a MASSIVE congratulations to Michelle Boyd who ran the Rat Race HQ Castle to Castle 100mile run. A monumental achievement - we know how much Michelle has put into her training coming back from injury. An absolute inspiration and we are so proud 👏 🌈

Also, we had members absolutely smash their runs at the Great North Run 10K with ringing of the PB bell - well done all of you 🔔 👏

Finally, massive congratulations also to Fiona who got a 10K PB at the fabulous Pies & Peas race organised by our friends Tynedale Harriers Fantastic running Fiona 👏 🔥

🌈 Endure24 @ Leeds Bramham Park 🌈

What a weekend we had as members took on the challenge of Endure24 in Leeds. We had two teams, Indi-Go-Go-Go and Sweat Side Story, running for 24 hours non stop in a 6 person relay. Together they clocked over 60 laps and 320 miles 😍 👏

But more than that - it was the team work, cheering each other on, supporting each other during the night, battling the winds and no sleep, and finishing together that made this weekend all the more special. Memories made for a lifetime 🌈

🌈 Grand Prix Double 🌈

Yesterday, we didn’t just have one bur TWO Grand Prix events with points up for grabs.

First up, we really love to support the Gateshead Pride Colour Run held in the stunning Chopwell Woods. A fantastic end to the month of activities curated by our friends at OUT North East . All the fun and laughs, colour and paint, made up for the tough hills 🌈 ✨ . Well done to Garry, Tom and Shaun for sweeping the medals 🥇 👏 Thanks also to Forestry England for hosting and supporting!

Secondly, we had members enjoying the C**k Crow 5K hosted by our friends at Jarrow and Hebburn RC. A lovely course, great volunteers and atmosphere. We loved it! ❤️ thanks to all the amazing organisers and well done runners! 👏
