🏳️‍🌈 London Frontrunners Pride 10K 🏳️‍🌈

Yesterday we travelled down from the Toon to take part in the absolutely fabulous Pride 10K, organised by our sister club London Frontrunners 3 laps around the beautiful Victoria Park on a warm morning, celebrating Pride with lots of visiting Frontrunner clubs. It’s always so special to have the Frontrunner community together 🌈

Well done to all our amazing runners, most of whom regretted the decision to do a parkrun beforehand! And a massive thank you to the organisers and volunteers. It was fabulous! ❤️ 🌈

❤️ Great North Run 2026 ❤️

What an INCREDIBLE day we had yesterday as we welcomed the worlds largest, and best, half marathon back to the North East with the Great North Run.

A warm day filled with OGGY OGGY OGGY, the best cheer squad in the NE, the Red Arrows, unbelievable crowds, selfies with the PM Andy Burnham, visiting Frontrunners and lots of celebrations 🍻

To all our runners - you were all amazing, and we are so proud of you all 👏 🌈 And to our cheer squad - you showcased exactly what this club is all about, friendship, support and community ❤️

🏳️‍🌈 GNR 2026 - JOIN US ❤️

In just two days we welcome one of the worlds largest half marathons back to the North East with this years Great North Run. And we are so excited to be welcoming visiting Frontrunners from across the country, and world! 🌎 Visiting? Join us this weekend:

Sat 12th Sep
🌳 Shakeout run at Jesmond Dene parkrun. Get an elusive J in your parkrun alphabet but keep it easy on those hills. Look out for the NFR flag - we will have lots of members volunteering and running, and join us for coffee and cake afterwards.

Sun 13th Sep, 2pm onwards
🍻 The Hancock, Newcastle. Join us for some well earnt refreshments, a short walk from Haymarket Metro. We look forward to celebrating with you! 🏅

To everyone running the GNR this year - have the most fabulous race, enjoy the incredible atmosphere and enjoy every step! 🌈

💙 Jesmond Joggers Invitational 💙

Last night was the return of a firm fixture in the NFR calendar with the 10th edition of our fabulous friends Jesmond Joggers anniversary invitational - 6K around the Town Moor. And we knew it being their 20th year, they were going to pull out all the stops. And they did - with a beautiful shower to finish off the evening 💦

Thanks so much to all the JJs for your friendship and allyship, it means so much to us. We love this event. And thank you to all the amazing organisers and volunteers, who braved those conditions! 👏

Congratulations to our Julia Whitehall for taking second female. And we may also have scooped the vet female prize too 🏅 Congrats to all our runners, amazing runs and a fabulous celebration of our clubs coming together!

🏅 Medal Monday 🏅

It’s been another fabulous weekend of racing for us at NFR. Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Gateshead Trail 10K - a fantastic event, and we are so glad it’ll be back next year! Also, well done to Babs and Andrea in the Middlesbrough 10K and to Rachel in the Ali Brownlee 5K - fantastic running!! 👏

Also, although not pictured a huge congratulations to Stephen who absolutely smashed the Sydney marathon this weekend and to Claire who did an incredible run at the Dales Dazzler 55K - both incredible achievements and we are all very proud of the work you put in to make that happen! 👏 🇦🇺

💛 Glasgow OUTRun 2026 💜

WHAT a weekend we’ve had north of the border with our amazing sister club Glasgow FrontRunners as they hosted OUTRun. One of our absolute favourite events of the year - a beautiful, somewhat undulating, 5 mile run around Kelvingrove Park. An amazing atmosphere, community, and all held together so fabulously by the effervescent (even at 8am)

This is truly the Frontrunner event of the year with so many Frontrunner clubs visiting, we had so much fun at the welcome drinks and the ceilidh. What an incredible weekend, and we can’t wait for 2027. Thanks so much to all the organisers and volunteers!! 👏 🌈 ❤️

Since our Pride Run, our members have continued to be racing all over the country with incredible achievements:

🎢 Kris & Jon running a very speedy Run The Lights 10K in Blackpool
🏳️‍🌈 Elaine, Noel and Fiona and Tara repping NFR at our sister Frontrunner events in Brighton, Belfast and Amsterdam
🌉 Julia, Vanessa and Michelle smashing it on the Quayside 5/10K, and Rachel and Noel with some fantastic runs at Run For All York 10K

🌟 Becky and Rebecca completing the York Sprint Triathlon
🌟 Will surviving and thriving through BOTH the 155 mile Spine Challenger and 105 mile Lakeland Ultra

Everyday, and especially today, we all at NFR stand up in solidarity with our trans and NB members and the wider local community as the ECHR guidance on single-sex spaces comes into being. We’ve been in conversation with our base at Gosforth Leisure Centre and no changes are occurring with our all-gender changing village - and they remain steadfast allies to us as a club 💕 . We will always continue to fight for the rights of our trans and NB members, friends and community - and know NFR will always be a safe and wholly inclusive space for you 🌈 ❤️

🌈 NFR x Gosforth Summer Relays 🌈

What an absolute perfect day to go relay-ing, and we were out in force with 7 teams taking part in the fabulous Gosforth Summer Relays in Great Park hosted by our friends Gosforth Harriers & AC🌈 😍

Well done to all our members, and for many this was their first ever relay event - incredible work and fantastic running from everyone 👏 ❤️

Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers - we will be back next year for the big 100 celebrations! 🥳
