Great to watch this training session with Perranporth Women & Girls Rugby 'The Sirens' tonight, if you have a Daughter in year 4 or 5 why not give this session a try.

Tackle technique is about more than making the tackle, it’s about making it safe, effective and repeatable for both the tackler and the player being tackled.

This session focused on the small details that make a big difference:
🔹 Foot placement
🔹 Leg drive
🔹 Tackle height
🔹 Chopping the feet into contact
🔹 Applying technique under pressure

The final part of the session brought everything together with the players putting their learning into practice through game-based scenarios.

Great effort from the whole group, with Toby and Digby particularly impressing with their skill application and decision making.

Good technique builds confidence, improves performance and most importantly, supports safer rugby.

Core skills
Another great Core Skills session, focusing on the fundamental skills players need to perform effectively in games.
🔹 Passing & handling
🔹 Tackling technique
🔹 Breakdown skills

A fantastic session from the whole group. Well done to Theo and Logan, who brought great energy to the group and demonstrated some excellent skill ex*****on throughout the session.

Our aim is keep building the skills, confidence and understanding that players can take straight into their games.

Looking forward to watching Camborne RFC v Plymouth Albion RFC tomorrow. A few of my old team mates play for and coach Camborne, I’ve had the pleasure of coaching quite a few of the current players and my old Gloucester team mate is coaching Plymouth. Will be a great game to watch!
