Brooke CC U11s in action again🏏

A great effort from the Brooke CC U11s against Sprowston CC the other week, in another closely fought Tier 2 pairs game!

Sprowston won the toss and elected to field, with Brooke posting 90/3 from 16 overs, giving a net score of 275.

There were some excellent contributions with the bat, including top scorer J Toulson (20), F Lombe-Taylor (12), J Boyt (11), I Wright (9) and J Burckitt (4). 👏🏏

In reply, Sprowston finished on 124/5, with a net score of 299, meaning they took the win by 24 runs.

Brooke bowled well, with B Smith and J Toulson both taking an important wicket each. F Bensley and T Oliver also bowled very economically, conceding just 6 runs apiece. 🎯👏

A special mention to the whole team for battling right to the end and showing fantastic teamwork, determination and spirit as always!. 💪👏

Well done to J Burckitt for captaining the side, and doing a great job behind the wickets! 🧤🤩

A fantastic evening of coaching and cricket from both sides at Brooke last night, with a pairs friendly against Ashmanhaugh & Barton Wanderers CC.

With just five of our players available — H Dannatt, W Boyes, M Boyt, R Freeman and I Wright — Ashmanhaugh turned up with 10, and very kindly lent us players so everyone could get involved, making it a very beneficial experience! 🙌

Great to see all the children playing together, encouraging each other and enjoying their cricket. Lots of smiles, teamwork and fantastic spirit throughout! 👏😊

What a fantastic Sponsors’ Day we had! The sun was shining, the cricket match was exciting and played in such great spirits, the homemade cricket tea was delicious, and the BBQ afterwards went down a treat. It certainly looked like everyone had a wonderful time as always! 🏏🤩🍺🍸🌭🍔🥪👏🏻
