This morning, we dropped our son at Heathrow.

One rucksack. One passport. A flight to Chicago. And a whole summer of adventure ahead.

As parents, we spend years teaching our children to spread their wings. Yet when the moment finally arrives, it’s a strange mix of pride, excitement and a little sadness as you watch them step into the world on their own.

The little boy who once needed us for everything is now boarding a plane to another continent, ready to make new friends, embrace new experiences and create memories that will stay with him for life.

Growth rarely happens inside our comfort zone. It happens when we say yes to opportunities, take brave steps into the unknown and trust ourselves to figure things out along the way.

This summer is his adventure.
