We are reintroducing our regular turn-up-and-play sessions for the rest of the Summer! Each week we will advertise the sessions we are running, which will be exclusively for U16s (parents welcome to join their children and pay the junior rate) and on a first come first served basis. No pre-booking required.

This week we have the following sessions:

🕔 Thursday, 20 August 5pm-6pm £2.50
🕔 Friday, 21 August 5pm-7pm £4
🕜 Sunday 23 August 1.30pm-3.30pm £4

Head up to reception, pay in cash or card, and receive your wristband for the session.

These sessions are not coach led, payment simply gives you access to the pitch.

Please ensure the correct footwear is worn (boots only, moulded studs preferred).

We've got two Bloom Power Days coming up this month, and we'd love your help.

**Saturday 15th**
10:30–11:30am - Pasley Pocket Park
2:00–3:00pm - Pasley Pocket Park

**Saturday 22nd**
10:30–11:30am - The Village Square
2:00–3:00pm - The Village Square

We'll be spreading several tonnes of woodchip mulch around Pasley Pocket Park and The Village Square Garden, this will help suppress the weeds and help the ground retain more water.

We're not going to pretend this one's easy... it's proper physical work! Wheelbarrows, shovels and mountains of mulch. If you're reasonably fit and fancy giving just one hour to make a real difference, we'd love to have you. No need to book, just show up.

But not everyone has to lift mulch... While we're working, we'll also be carrying out a butterfly count and litter pick, so if you'd rather bring the kids, come for a chat, tidy up and help us spot and record the butterflies visiting us, we'd love that just as much.

We'll have tea, coffee, cold drinks and biscuits waiting too, because every volunteer deserves a biscuit...

If you have a shovel and gloves to bring, that would be super helpful but we do have a few to lend out.

Every Friday in August, join us for 4 two hour sessions for just £35!

Learn Form One, our beginner's form in Lightsaber Combat. Learn footwork, basic cuts and defences, how our system works and join a large community of like-minded fans for our cheapest introductory price.

Additional sessions can be arranged for smaller private groups looking to learn the basics, get in touch.

Free taster sessions for 5-14 year olds for the next two Sundays! Come and give Hockey a try with the fantastic team from Ocean City.

Two Sundays left! FREE taster sessions take place on Sundays in June 9:30am - 11am at Stoke Damerel Community College on the blue Astro pitch.
If you know a child who would like to try a new sport in a fun, relaxed environment, they’re very welcome to come along. There’s no expectation or commitment and the club can provide hockey sticks and shin pads for anyone who wants to give it a go.
The new season starts in September, with training on Sundays and some matches on Friday evenings.
These sessions are for juniors 5 - 14 years. We are a friendly, inclusive club that focuses on having fun, developing skills and making new friends.

Our 7v7 3G pitch has some availability to be your home base for next season! Want to avoid cancellations persistent cancellations and enjoy a high quality surface for every home match? Get in touch now!

Kick-off times are set at 9.30am, 10.40am, and 11.50 am with the possibility of adding in a 1pm game depending on demand. Fixtures are set by the league and you may not be able to dictate the time of your slot.

Our site has extensive free parking, great public transport links, hot and cold drinks for sale, and plenty of viewing areas to watch the games.

Create/Connect is a research project working together with young people aged 13+ and youth organisations to understand how community belonging supports young people’s wellbeing, and how we use our creativity to build collective resilience when facing societal challenges.

This project is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and made up of a team of researchers at the Universities of Southampton, Brighton and Glasgow, working with 7 national and regional youth organisations and services. The project has ethical approval from the University of Southampton.

As part of this research project, the Create/Connect team have been running creative workshops with young people all over the UK, and we would like to let you and the young people in your life know about this opportunity.

The Create/Connect research team will be running 2 clay workshops for young people aged 13 -17 in collaboration with Intercom Trust on the 31st of May:

Plymouth workshop:
Time: 10am – 12noon

Exeter Workshop:
Time: 2pm – 4pm
Location: Intercom Trust, Zone 5, Wrentham Business Centre, Prospect Park, Exeter, Devon, EX4 6NA

We are taking a break from Junior sessions this week, but will return after half term!

🏑 BRAND NEW: Junior Intro Hockey Sessions coming to Aspire Hub.

Launching on Tuesday, 5 and Wednesday 6 May we will be launching these introductory sessions for multiple age groups. Learn the basics behind Hockey, make new friends, and have fun! There will be talented coaches, plenty of equipment, and our fantastic facilities to provide a fantastic experience.

Tuesday sessions are for ages 7-9 whilst Wednesdays are for ages 9-12.

We will have sticks for all newcomers to borrow, but would recommend gum shields and shin guards (large football shin pads are acceptable).

UPDATE: We have just added a batch of shin pads that you can borrow, as well as gumshields which can be purchased from us to keep!
