📍 Location: The stunning Newnham Park Estate, Plympton, Devon.

📏 The Distances: Choose between the 8-Mile (two looped laps) or the 4-Mile (one lap) trail course.

🐾 Canicross Friendly: Want to run with your dog? Canicross options are available so your four-legged best friend can join the fun!

Meet another fundraising superstar, Susie.

I’m raising money to benefit Bowel Cancer West by running the Devon and Cornwall Backyard Ultra in August. My brother sadly passed away from bowel cancer last year and I will be running this in his memory. I will be running laps of 4 miles on the hour, every hour for as many hours as I can in 24 hours with some of my amazing East Cornwall Harrier friends. I'm aiming to run more than 50 miles - this will be the furthest I've run and will definitely be a real challenge having undertaken very little distance training due to having my little foster baby until mid August! We know stepping onto a start line can sometimes feel intimidating, especially if you're new to ultra running or endurance events. That's why we've worked hard to create an event where everyone feels welcome, supported and comfortable.

✨ Female firstaider with the lovely Jen First Class Responders
✨ Female race director
✨ Over half the team that looks after you are female
✨ Free pre-race hair braiding available (and yes, long-haired men are welcome too!)
✨ A dedicated ladies' toilet, complete with sanitary products and disposal facilities
✨ Dedicated space for solo runners, so you don't need a big support crew to take part
✨ A hot water monitor keeping the kettle topped up, ready for your noodles, soup and hot drinks throughout the race.
