Two tough away games, two depleted squads with injuries and a few glory hunters choosing to watch the Swans sitting top of the league instead 😂🦢

But the lads who turned up showed exactly what Ivy Athletic is about.

FULL TIME | IVY ATHLETIC 3–5 LLANDARCY 3RDS

A tough afternoon for the Green Army.

A superb hat-trick from Jamie Jones ⚽⚽⚽, with assists from Harri Thomas, Mike Bell & Cori Hopkins 👏

We showed today that we can compete, but football is about more than ability. Hard work, resilience and sticking together when things aren’t going our way will be vital as this season develops.

We unfortunately picked up more injuries and, after taking a 2–0 lead, we allowed a strong attacking Llandarcy side back into the game. Credit to them — they kept going and punished us.

FULL TIME | AFC GLAIS 3RDS 1–1 IVY ATHLETIC 2NDS

A hard-fought and highly competitive battle from both sides today. 💚

Ivy Athletic took the lead on 30 minutes after Liam Harding capitalised on an error at the back and showed great composure to coolly finish. ⚽️

A special mention to Nathan Dennis, who produced a fantastic Man of the Match performance in the middle of the park — pressing brilliantly, creating chances and putting in a huge shift for the team. 👏🏆

Unfortunately, it was another afternoon where we picked up a few more injuries, so the next couple of weeks will be important for the lads to recover, rest up and get themselves back fit.

We now have a few weeks before our next game on Saturday 19th September, giving us some valuable time to recover, regroup and get ready for the next challenge.

A point on the road. Another competitive performance. Plenty of positives to take. 💚

Rest up, recover and come back stronger. 💪
