AMD Summer Timetable🥳🫶

This term, we’re excited to be working towards our big Showcase Event, taking place on Saturday 20th June at Las Portree.

New students are always welcome to join the AMD family - come and take part in a trial class in Ballet, Contemporary or Acro Dance.

Classes are led by a highly qualified teacher, trained through the British Ballet Organisation and Acrobatic Arts, and holding a degree in Ballet and Contemporary Dance.

All classes start from Monday 20th April!!💃🤸

What a weekend! ✨

AMD's second year at the Spring Show — and somehow it topped last year. I couldn’t be prouder of my girls. They performed with so much confidence, talent, and heart, and the respect they showed throughout the entire weekend was truly second to none.

Watching them grow, support each other, and shine on that stage is something really special. So many incredible memories made 💛

I was delighted to hand over Phoebe and Ashleigh's Classical Ballet Exam Certificates and Badges this evening. I am so proud of these two for receiving Distinction results in their Classical Ballet Exams. They are always full of mischief and giggles but have both worked so hard and pushed themselves (and me😅) to study an extremely technical and difficult syllabus. Very proud teacher 💛🩰

AMD is the only dance establishment on Skye to offer students the opportunity to study Ballet Examinations, gaining recognised qualifications that can contribute towards exam points for further education.

After achieving a Distinction in my own studies with the British Ballet Organisation (bbodance), alongside a BA Honours in Contemporary Dance Performance, I went on to establish Ailsa May Dance here on Skye. AMD delivers high-quality dance training, teaching the core principles of Classical Ballet while supporting each student to reach their full potential.

Alongside Ballet, I also teach Contemporary and Acro Dance, with all Acro classes delivered by myself as a fully qualified Acrobatic Arts instructor.

AMD term begins Monday 12th January! High quality and inclusive classes in a range of styles with lots of opportunities to progress your dancing skills and technique.

If your child is new to AMD and interested in signing up for a class, please send me a message or email [email protected] - I would love to have them join! Any previous students will be signed up automatically.

I have a couple of slots available for private lessons on a Friday, these are for any students wishing to work on their technique, confidence, and overall performance quality. Please get in touch to enquire if you think this would be something your child would benefit from. ☺️

Truthfully I was a bit apprehensive, but you guys were all AMAZING! It was so wholesome to have so many of my students from a variety of classes and ages come together for a very cosy wee evening. I am feeling like a very lucky dance school owner. 💛✨️

This week is the last week of classes for the term and all AMD students, siblings, and family members are invited to get festive together at our Christmas Movie Evening this Tuesday.

Popcorn, cookies, and juice provided but please feel free to bring your own snacks. Donations welcome and all money will go towards purchasing new acro equipment. Hopefully see you there!
