Amazing news for Portree & Braes Community Trust SCIO . The committee do so much good for community. This alongside the development in Broadford will be amazing for the younger generations to play sport!

PBCT have TWO reasons for celebration in 2026 - We are 10 years old this year - our date of incorporation was 27 May 2017! Our second BIG reason was the purchase of the King George V Playing Field, to secure it for the community. To celebrate both these milestones, PBCT are planning a exhibition of photographs, plans and documents relating to the field over the years and we would LOVE to include your photos and memories - they don't need to be formal - photos of your little munchkin with their pup at the agricultural show, or your prize ram, the gymkhana, school sports, football, shinty ... whatever. We are interested in what the field means to the people of Portree and beyond. The photo should be yours to share, permission granted for its use by us, and names, date and context would be great. We look forward to sharing your stories. If you can't scan and send by email, we can arrange to scan your photos and return the original to you. Send us a message at [email protected].

Advanced Camp: Opponents

We are delighted to confirm youth team as our opponents on Saturday 18th July. Our 13/14 year olds will face off against the mainland side after a week of intense training in Portree and Kyleakin. , and Iain are really looking forward to working towards the game at the end of the week.

New Head Coach: Bodhan Campbell

We are delighted to have Bodhan join the team. The Buckie Thistle striker will be working in Portree this summer with the afternoon academy AND the Advanced Camp supporting Iain and Tony. Bodhan has done tons of work with Active Schools and has shown so much motivation to work at the camp.

Today we hosted Plockton High School in Portree for S1-3 Girls Football. A win for Portree with goals from Eve, Maeve, Iona, Morag and Khadijah! Big thanks to Plockton for coming up, and thanks to Senior Pupil Sadie for refereeing.

We are delighted to continue our partnership with the to raise some money for an incredibly valuable cause. As part of our World Cup Tournament in Portree, the evening of the 17th July - the RNLI will be delivering food and drinks to the hundreds of kids and parents in attendance. Special thanks go to Iain Beaton and the team for their support. 100% of sales will go the RNLI and their work in the community.
