Preston City Football Club | U7 Tournament Trophy ChampionsπŸ†

It was a fantastic day for Preston City FC U7s at the Ramsbottom Top Park Tournament, with both our Blues and Whites reaching the final and ensuring the trophy would be coming home with Preston City.

After losing their opening game, the Blues showed tremendous character to respond, growing stronger as the day went on and earning their place in the final.

The Whites were equally impressive, competing brilliantly throughout the tournament and playing their part in an all-Preston City final.

The final itself was a brilliant advert for youth football.
Both teams played with quality, determination and resilience, with the Blues eventually coming out on top after a hard-fought contest.

Special praise goes to Logan, whose two goals in the final proved decisive, and Luca, whose outstanding saves throughout the day, including in the final, helped his side stay in control during crucial moments.

Speaking after the tournament, manager Chris Murray said:

"What I'm most proud of isn't the trophy, it's the attitude.
We lost our opening game and could quite easily have felt sorry for ourselves, but the lads responded brilliantly.
They worked hard, encouraged each other and kept believing in what they were doing.

To have both our Blues and Whites in the final says a lot about the players, the coaches and the families around this club.
Every player played their part today and that's what makes this achievement special.

The effort, determination and togetherness shown throughout the day was outstanding".

A huge thank you to all the parents for their fantastic support throughout the day.
The encouragement from the sidelines was brilliant and helped create a great atmosphere for the players.

πŸ† Winners – Preston City Blues
πŸ₯ˆ Finalists – Preston City Whites

πŸ†πŸ’™ Preston City Football Club | U10 GOLD CUP CHAMPIONS πŸ’™πŸ†
What a day for Preston City Football Club U10s as they travelled to Blackburn to compete in the Blackburn Eagles Tournament and returned home with yet another trophy added to their growing collection.

The lads were outstanding throughout the group stages, playing some fantastic football to secure qualification for the Gold Cup, scoring an impressive 10 goals while conceding just once.

The knockout stages saw the team raise their level even further.
⚽ Quarter-Final: 2-0 victory
⚽ Semi-Final: A cruel last-minute deflected own goal denied the lads a clean win and took the game to penalties. Showing nerves of steel, Preston City converted all three spot-kicks flawlessly before goalkeeper Oli Easton produced a fantastic save to send the team into the final.

The final presented the perfect storyline.
Standing in their way was the only team to have beaten them all day during the group stages. The lads had the opportunity to put things right β€” and they did exactly that.
In true Preston City fashion, they controlled the game from start to finish, producing a dominant performance to secure a deserved 2-0 victory and lift the Gold Cup.

πŸ† Tournament Record βœ… 7 Wins from 8 Games
⚽ 15 Goals Scored
πŸ›‘οΈ Only 3 Goals Conceded
πŸ† Gold Cup Winners

⭐ Player of the Tournament: Reis Agic
Reis was simply sensational throughout the day. His skill, creativity, confidence and flair were on full display, constantly catching the eye of spectators and opponents alike. A thoroughly deserved recipient of the Player of the Tournament award.

πŸŽ™οΈ Manager Leon Fell said:
"Scoring 15 goals while only conceding 3, winning 7 out of 8 games, then avenging our only loss in the final to bring home the trophy was an amazing display from the lads. It was a pleasure to take them down."

A huge congratulations to Leon, Oli, Reis and every single player involved. The hard work, commitment and togetherness shown by this group continues to make everyone at Preston City Football Club proud.

πŸ’™πŸ† Champions once again. πŸ†πŸ’™

Another great day for Preston City Football Club U12s.

Yesterday our U12s won the Greater Manchester Cup after competing in a very high-quality tournament against some excellent opposition.

Tournament football is never easy. The weather was hot, the games were short, and on days like this the margins between success and disappointment are incredibly small.

What stood out most was the togetherness, character and resilience that this group has shown all season. The lads stepped up once again against some very strong teams and demonstrated exactly what Preston City is known for.

Defensively, the team were outstanding, conceding just one goal throughout the entire tournament.

The final was everything you would expect from a high-level competition. A hard-fought battle with very few chances, finishing 0-0 after normal time and sending the game to penalties.

Just as we've seen before this season, the moment belonged to goalkeeper William Smith.

William saved 2 of the 4 penalties he faced to secure the trophy for Preston City and send the U12s home as champions. πŸ‘πŸ»

His penalty-saving heroics have become a habit this season, having also saved 3 penalties in our JPL National Cup Quarter Final just eight weeks ago. An outstanding achievement from an outstanding goalkeeper.

πŸ‘πŸ» Manager's Player of the Tournament:
Jacob Creed

Jacob was immense throughout the day. Strong in every challenge, incredibly difficult to beat, and consistently played excellent progressive passes to help us build attacks from the back. A top-class tournament performance from our centre-back.

This group has now enjoyed an exceptional season, winning multiple trophies and continuing to compete at the highest level.

Today's success provides excellent preparation ahead of next week's JPL League Winners National Finals.

One more challenge awaits. 🩡⚽

Preston City Football Club Girls U10s headed over to Liverpool for the Mossley Hill Tournament this week and what a day it turned out to be. With the sun shining and a full-strength squad available, the girls were ready to go, and they certainly didn’t disappoint.

The team produced a fantastic display throughout the tournament, showing great teamwork, determination, and quality from first whistle to last. They finished top of their group with a perfect 9 points, before winning a tense semi-final on penalties to book their place in the final.

The girls went on to lift the Champions League trophy in style and incredibly didn’t concede a single goal all tournament πŸ‘ a huge credit to the way they defended as a team.

Every player played their part in a brilliant team performance, and congratulations also go to Anya Prescott for being named Player of the Final.

A superb achievement by a fantastic group of girls, well done.

Preston City Girls U10s are a great side and always represent themselves and the club in an exemplary way.

Preston City Football Club U16s 2-0 Eldon Celtic

Where do you even begin with this group?
This was more than just a football match. It was the end of a journey for a special set of lads who have given everything for this club, their teammates, and each other. On the biggest stage of them all, they delivered once again and crowned themselves JPL National Cup Champions.

Against a very strong Eldon Celtic side, the boys showed everything that has defined this team throughout the season, character, discipline, togetherness, courage, and belief. From the first whistle to the last, every player left absolutely everything out on the pitch.

The breakthrough came through a great forward pass from Dan Goodwin that was brought down with superb chest control from Aiden Cheung who weighted a perfect pass to Harry Clarke, who stepped up in a huge moment yet again to give us the lead.

The second goal came from Dan Goodwin, finishing brilliantly from a great corner to put daylight between the sides and spark incredible scenes from the players, staff, and supporters.

But this victory was built on collective effort. Every tackle, every sprint, every block, every bit of communication mattered today. The back line stood strong, the midfield battled tirelessly, and the forwards worked relentlessly for the team.

A special mention goes to JPL Man of the Match, Daniel Juriansz. His tireless endeavour, work rate, and leadership of the line were absolutely outstanding. He epitomised everything this team is about today; selfless, relentless, and fully committed to the badge.

To our supporters, thank you. The noise, encouragement, and belief from the sidelines gave the lads that extra push when they needed it most. Seeing so many people travel and stand behind these boys meant everything.

For many of these players, this was β€œThe Last Dance” together in football and all their last game at junior level and what a way to finish. Memories that will last a lifetime.

This team hasn’t just won a trophy. They’ve made history for Preston City Football Club.πŸ’™
Champions of the nation.
Forever proud.
