Congratulations to our U9 Reds Player of the Match winner Levison ✨🏆✨

“Sunday saw Cockerham JFC’s Under 9s take on Galgate in the Autumn Cup in what can only be described as the match of the decade!!!

Put simply it was end to end football with both teams playing their hearts out.

It was neck and neck for most of the game, with stirling performances from the whole team, but Cockerham clinched the win.

Player of the match was Levison. He has been a stalwart all season, and is a consistent play maker who always gives 110%, so it was only fitting he received PoTM.

To be honest, as a manger, I’m still buzzing from the boys performance!!!!”

One proud Manager guys 💖 well done 👏🏻

Congratulations to the Under 15’s Player of the match winner Henry ✨🏆✨

“Well, we do like to make things difficult for ourselves! 😬 Three early defensive errors saw Trimpell Colts race to the lead against the U15s but instead of folding, Cockerham suddenly clicked into gear. Some superb midfield and attacking football brought three goals before half-time – and it could easily have been more, with another four chances somehow refusing to go in. At times the ball genuinely seemed to defy the laws of gravity!

The second half was some of the best football we’ve played to date. Great passing, movement and attacking play saw the goals keep coming, including two cracking free kicks, as Cockerham turned a deficit into a win. A brilliant response from the lads and a performance full of character.

POTM: Henry B, who bagged himself a superb hat-trick and caused problems all afternoon.”

Sounds like a great match! 🙌

Congratulations to the Under 11’s Player of the Match winners Edward & George ✨🏆✨

“Managers player of the match goes to Edward who worked extremely hard to win the ball and scored a great goal.

Spectators player of the match goes to George for some outstanding goalkeeping, including saving the penalty and was unfortunate not to save the rebound.”

Fantastic work guys 🫶

Congratulations to the Under 13’s Player of the Match winners Edward, Jack and Oli ✨🏆✨

“It was a really tough match against top of the table Carnforth Rangers for the U13s this morning.

Carnforth, we're able to make a very large pitch work to their strengths, and we just struggled at times to keep up with their pace and intensity.

A spirited effort from the boys in the end though, with a never give up attitude being rewarded with a couple of well worked goals.

One thing you can not deny is how much effort and energy they all put in each match, so when we have matches like this morning where the lads have given it their all, you just have to accept defeat to the better team on the day.

The 3 awards this week go to..

Gold 🏅
Edward.
He never stopped running today, always pressing the defence, running after every ball, and being really tenacious with his tackling. He didn't get a lot of service today, but he didn't let his drop and kept making his runs and putting the efforts in. Well done, Eddie! 👏

Silver 🥈
Jack
He was everywhere today! Driving us forward from midfield, taking the ball to the line and cutting back passes as well as getting back and defending. Assisted 1 and scored 1 today, too.

Bronze 🥉
Oli.
Kept us in the game in the first half with some outstanding goalkeeping.
Another brave and confident performance from him in goal today. 👏”

Brilliant job guys 🫶
