⚽️ Kirkham U9s Yellows vs Fleetwood Gym Wanderers

A very windy day for football, but the Yellows refused to let the conditions get the better of them! 🌬️☀️

The team showed fantastic effort, teamwork and determination from start to finish, battling hard in tricky conditions and producing some brilliant attacking play. There were some excellent saves, committed defending, great passing and plenty of never-give-up attitude throughout. 💪💛💙

🏆 A well-deserved award to Leo for an outstanding performance, with plenty of energy, creativity and quality on show! 👏

There were some fantastic individual moments, including brilliant defensive work, relentless running and two celebrations that might need their own highlight reel! 😂

A huge well done to every player for their hard work and teamwork, and credit to Fleetwood for battling through the tough conditions too.

Proud of the whole team — well done, Yellows! 💛💙⚽️

Great performance overall from the U12 Whites Away at Fleetwood, fighting against extremely strong wind, we made life difficult for ourselves at times, but the kids put in a real shift and dug deep to earn a well-deserved victory.

The football was brilliant to watch, with great technical play and composure throughout the side despite the tough conditions.
Jackson got us off to the perfect start with a fantastic opening goal to put us ahead. Vada doubled our lead with a great finish after some fine play, but with Fleetwood pushing hard and being awarded a penalty it took a fantastic strike from Will to fire home the match winner and secure the result.

The whole team showed some great football with special mention to our three ladies—Abby, Jersey, and Vada—who put on a masterclass in attacking link-up play, working brilliantly together to create real danger up front.
Meanwhile, both Will and Riley were outstanding at the other end of the pitch, keeping their focus and making key plays when under pressure.

Coaches’ Player of the Match went to Will for a brilliant display of leadership, teamwork, and rock-solid defending alongside his match-winning goal.

Parents’ Player of the Match went to Ethan, who put in an incredible shift out on the wing, working tirelessly and creating chance after chance for the team. An all-around fantastic effort from every single kid today. UTMW!

U13 Yellows💛
Good win today in very testing conditions and with no subs .
Every player gave 100% against a decent side. We came away with a deserved 2–1 win.
Captain Olly once again an absolute rock at the back getting Player of the match 🏆.
Great performances from both Charlie W and goalscorer Charlie S ⚽️and a fantastic volley from the ever reliable Kirans⚽️.
Not at our best today but we continue to pick up points. More to come from this team ⚽️

U7 Reds 🔴

What a fantastic effort from all the boys this morning! They played brilliantly and against a good opponent. One pitch in particular they had to try really hard as well not to react to some bad tackling, which none of them did, their behaviour was spot on and a credit to them all as top kids. Very proud of them!

🏆 If I had 12 trophies I’d have given one out to each and everyone of them, however I gave it to Tommy A this week for how well he’s picking up the dribbling aspects of the game, but also because some of the last ditch body on the line defending was so fun to watch. He must’ve had his full body at least 5 foot in the air at one point as part of a massive scramble, incredible stuff 👏🏻

💫Notable shout outs also to Rauri for his first goals and Louie on playing his first matches 😁

U10 Reds 🔴

A tale of two halfs this morning for the boys. A shaky first half today making sure the defence and keeper stayed nice and warm 👀😂 We managed to get to half-time and had a reset.

Much better after the break, with the wind behind us moving the ball quicker and creating more chances ⚽️

SPECIAL MENTIONS 👏🏻
Big shoutout to Ged and Franklin, who had plenty to deal with in the first half and did a great job defensively 💪🏻

🏆 PLAYER OF THE MATCH – DEON! 🧤
A few brilliant saves from long-range efforts, some great distribution and commanding his box really well. A great performance between the sticks! 👏🏻🔥

Well done lads ⚽️

Really great performance today from the U13 Blues. How grassroots football should be with players, coaches and spectators from both sides exemplary. After adjusting to the wind, we played some great football. The passing today was brilliant.
All played great but well done to our forwards, 4 goals for Jayden (& Parents POTM), 1 for Lucas and 1 for Harry (& Coaches POTM). UtBs ⚽️ ⚽️ ⚽️ ⚽️ ⚽️ ⚽️ 💪💙

Fantastic today from the U11 Reds.

Dougie was awarded POTM for his excellence in defence and for the way he carried the ball forwards.
Jack won Parent's POTM for his brilliance in net and for his perfect distribution.
