β¨ Coraβs Progress! β¨
Meet Cora π a 7yo, 16hh Connie x ISH who came to us after time off due to a sore back.
Cora has completed:
π¦ 6 water treadmill sessions
π 2 Sea Salt & Oxygen sessions
We started her at just 10 minutes with the water covering her feet, gradually progressing to 20 minutes at mid-cannon. We havenβt introduced the incline yet as Cora wasnβt quite ready. β€οΈ
The water treadmill has allowed Cora to return to exercise without the weight of a rider and saddle, while the resistance of the water encourages her to engage her core, back and hindquarters and rebuild strength around her previously sore back.
πΈ The difference is already clear:
β¨ Improved topline
β¨ More shoulder and hindquarter muscle
β¨ Better overall muscle definition
β¨ A stronger, more balanced shape
A lovely example of why rehab should be progressive and tailored to each individual horse, building the foundations before asking them to carry a rider again. π΄πͺπΌβ€οΈ
Cora is seen regularly by Holly who treats her through Bowen Therapy! Highly recommend, we absolutely love Hollyβs work! π€©
Well done Cora! π₯°π€

Super proud of spotty lady, Saffy! π
Just look at the difference!! π
πΈ 30/07 β 469kg
β‘οΈ 09/08 β 446kg
23kg down! ππΌπ₯
Saffy suffered with laminitis last year and has since been diagnosed with EMS (Equine Metabolic Syndrome)
Her current management:
π Β½ Invokana tablet - (canagliflozin) is an SGLT2 inhibitor that can be prescribed by vets for horses with EMS and insulin dysregulation. It helps the body remove excess glucose through the urine, which can help reduce circulating insulin levels and improve metabolic control.
πΎ Hay at 1.75% bodyweight, soaked for 4 hours
π¦ Daily 20 minute water treadmill sessions
πΆπ»ββοΈDaily walker use
π± Daily turnout!!
We can see a lovely reduction through her neck and barrel, with a much cleaner, lighter outline and improved muscle definition. β€οΈ
Sheβs back at the vets next Friday to check her insulin levels, so fingers crossed we see improvements there too! π€πΌπ€πΌ
Well done Saffy! πΈπ

β¨π΄ The scales donβt tell the whole storyβ¦ π΄β¨
One of the biggest misconceptions about the water treadmill is that itβs only for weight loss. βοΈ
Bernie is proof that it offers so much more! π
After 10 water treadmill sessions π, Bernie has gone from 532kg to 525kg!
A modest weight change, but look beyond the scales and the transformation is clear! πβ¨
In these photos you can see:
β
A stronger, more defined toplineπͺπΌ
β
Improved muscle development through the neck, back and hindquarters. π
β
Better posture, standing more balanced and carrying himself more correctly. π
β
A fitter, stronger and more athletic overall appearance. π
The water treadmill encourages horses to engage their core, lift through their back and step further underneath themselves with their hind legs. π
This helps build strength and muscle while the buoyancy of the water reduces concussion on joints and soft tissues, making it ideal for:
π Rehabilitation
π Injury prevention
π Muscle building
π Fitness and conditioning
π Joint support
π Performance horses
π Veterans
π Young horses starting their careers
Every horse can benefit from a tailored water treadmill programme. π΄β¨ Whether your goal is rehabilitation, improving muscle tone, increasing fitness or simply helping your horse move more efficiently, every session is designed around your horseβs individual needs. π
β Donβt wait until your horse has a problem. β
Investing in their strength, posture and movement now can help them perform better, stay sound for longer and feel their absolute best. πͺπΌπβ€οΈ

β¨ Mr. Darceyβs Progress β¨
Meet Mr. Darcey, a lovely 17yo Irish Sport Horse.
Mr. Darcey has had a difficult time over the last year. Following a fractured right hind splint bone that required surgical repair with a titanium plate, he then developed laminitis in April 2026 and was diagnosed with Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS).
As part of his rehabilitation and weight management programme, Mr. Darcey has now completed 6 water treadmill sessions with us.
The comparison photos show just one week of progress:
π΄ 568 kg β‘οΈ 560 kg
πͺ A leaner overall outline.
πͺ Improved definition through his shoulder and neck.
πͺ A tighter abdominal profile.
πͺ Looking brighter and more comfortable in his posture.
πͺ Improved topline.
For horses with EMS and a history of laminitis, controlled exercise is a key part of their management. The water treadmill allows horses to build fitness and muscle while reducing concussion on the limbs, making it an excellent rehabilitation tool when introduced at the appropriate stage of recovery.
Well done Darcey πͺπΌπ₯°π€
