⚽ Local Fulwood School Girls to Represent England at Prestigious International Football Tournament

Fulwood, Lancashire – Girls from Our Lady's Catholic High School are preparing to represent England on the international stage after becoming National Schools Champions for the second consecutive year.

The team secured their place at the prestigious International British Isles Schools Tournament following a superb 3–1 victory over Chislehurst School for Girls in the National Final at Stoke in May. Their remarkable achievement means they will now compete against the very best school teams from across the British Isles.

The tournament will take place at the National Sports Centre, Lilleshall, where the squad will spend three days competing in a series of high-quality fixtures while living on site with teams from across the British Isles.

Representing England is a tremendous honour and recognition of the girls' exceptional commitment, teamwork and determination throughout the season. It is also a wonderful opportunity for them to develop confidence, resilience and leadership while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Mrs Lin, PE Teacher and Team Manager at Our Lady's Catholic High School, said:

These young women have shown extraordinary commitment, resilience and teamwork throughout the season, and they thoroughly deserve this opportunity. They will be fantastic ambassadors for our school, our local community and for England."

⭐ To help make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity possible, the school is inviting local businesses, organisations and individuals to partner with the team through sponsorship.

Support will help meet the costs of travel, accommodation, tournament kit and other essential expenses, ensuring every player can take part in this prestigious national event regardless of financial circumstances.

Businesses supporting the team will not only be investing in talented young sportswomen but also demonstrating their commitment to developing young people within the local community. Sponsors will become part of an inspiring story of dedication, aspiration and sporting excellence as the girls proudly represent England.

Today we celebrate all the dads, grandads, coaches, stepdads, father figures and supporters who give their time, encouragement and dedication to our young players.

Football is about so much more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about the people who cheer from the sidelines, offer advice after a tough game, drive to training in all weathers, volunteer their time and help our players grow in confidence both on and off the field.

To every coach, parent and role model who helps shape our club and support our players’ journeys – thank you. Your commitment, patience and encouragement make a real difference.
