A lovely outing with Dennis yesterday, allowing him to stay soft in his frame and giving him the time to read each question in a balanced way.

Balance in the horse begins with balance in the rider. When we stay centred, organised and able to follow the movement, the horse has a much better opportunity to remain soft, think clearly and respond confidently.

Such an important part of producing a horse and another valuable step in our partnership and Dennis’s education.

Today we competed in the PSG Gold at the Hartpury British Dressage Summer Regionals.

Preparation and warm up went exactly to plan, and Shanti and I produced a mistake free test. It felt a little on the modest side, which was reflected in our score of 65%, leaving us in 7th place.

After returning to the stables ahead of tomorrow’s Inter I Gold, Shanti just didn’t seem quite himself. Rather than take any chances, we’ve made the decision to withdraw and head home.

This older horse owes us absolutely nothing. He has given me so much over the years, and it’s important that we listen to those small signs rather than push on regardless. There will always be another day, and it’s important to keep your horse at the centre of decision making !

We’ll get him home, let him have a few quiet days, and hopefully he’ll be back feeling like himself again soon. ❤️🐴

First Horse Trials for Topaz today and what an incredible start! 🌟🥈

Dauntsey Horse Trials proved to be the perfect venue for a young horse’s introduction to eventing. After a lovely, relaxed dressage, followed by a confident clear show jumping round, we headed out on cross country where Topaz produced a super clear round.

The course had everything you could ask for to educate a young horse, including hedges, boundary fences, natural ditches, Irish banks and two river crossings. Every fence had a natural feel in both its build and positioning, encouraging horses to grow in confidence while answering plenty of new questions.

We picked up a few time faults, but that was entirely by design. I was happy to let Topaz trot to a few of the fences so he could really understand the questions being asked and gain confidence from every experience. That’s the beauty of competing at 90cm. It’s about education, not the stopwatch.

To top it all off, we finished 2nd 🥈.

I don’t think Topaz is ever going to be the fastest event horse, and that’s absolutely fine. He reminds me a little of a Defender, steady, dependable and happiest taking the sensible route. Today wasn’t about speed, it was about producing a horse that thinks, learns and finishes wanting to do it all again. Those are the foundations that matter.

A brilliant first Horse Trials and an exciting start to the journey. I’m looking forward to seeing where this one takes us. 🐴

It's the final day of the inaugural FEI Eventing World Championships U25 Millstreet 2026 U25 Eventing World Championships, and Great Britain heads into today's showjumping phase leading the team competition! 💪

After two excellent phases, Britain sits at the top of the team leaderboard ahead of Germany and Ireland, but with everything still to play for, every rail will count in the battle for the medals.

🥇🇬🇧 TEAM GB LEADS THE WAY! 🇬🇧🥇

What a day at the FEI Eventing World Championships U25 Millstreet 2026 ! A superb team performance across the cross-country phase has seen Great Britain climb from third after dressage to take the lead at the inaugural FEI U25 Eventing World Championships heading into tomorrow's final showjumping phase.

🌟 Alice Casburn & Topspin produced a brilliant round to jump from 16th after dressage to lead the individual standings, adding just 2.8 time penalties to their score.

The rest of the British squad also rose to the challenge:
