A Club for the Community

This is the page for the mens senior team.

Our youth teams have their own page at https://www.facebook.com/renfrewfcyouth Renfrew Football Club was formed as Renfrew Juniors FC in 1912 after the previous Junior club in the town, Renfrew Victoria, went defunct in 1910. The ‘Vics’ also played at Western Park. During the period between Renfrew Victoria folding and Renfrew Juniors starting, Western Park was used by a juvenile side Orchard Rovers, but local fans, not content with this, decided to form the Junior Club that still exists to this day. The Club name Renfrew Juniors was changed to Renfrew Football Club following the Intermediate Dispute which lasted from 1925 to 1931. More- www.renfrewfc.co.uk/club-infohistory/renfrew-fc-about-us

Thanks to everyone who bought our match programme on Saturday for the Scottish Cup tie against Stirling Albion. Despite the weather which had an impact on the attendance, we still managed to sell a load of programmes. Thanks also to Kerr Compressor Engineers and CCO Security Services who each sponsored a page, and to several people who made a donation over and above the cover price.

We posted programmes to Fife, Lancashire, Northern Ireland and London, and a few were picked up at this mornings Renfrew FC walking football group and also at tonight’s game against Troon.

Out of a print run of 200, we have just a couple of dozen remaining so, if you still want one let us know.

Proceeds of programme sales went to the Grandstand appeal, which is greatly appreciated.

We’ll be doing another match programme for the 3rd Round Scottish Cup tie, with proceeds again going to the grandstand appeal. Look out for that next month.

Valiant effort but we fall short in the end. Good luck to Troon for the rest of the season.
