April 2026 Attendance Awards

Every month we honour the students who have the highest attendance when training at Bushidō Hombu Dojo.

Highest Attendees each month get a Certificate of Achievement, and every 3 months the Highest Attendees win a ‘Free Training Voucher’. And of course we award the Highest Attendees of the Year by giving them a £50 Shopping Voucher… But most importantly at the WSKO and Bushidō Hombu Dojo we strive for excellence and expect the highest standard and to achieve this students are required to train at least 75% Attendance per month.

Congratulations To: Lucas Bevan, Lacey Kear, Stuart Smith, Evie Williams, Kyle Daniels, George Shepard, Michelle Chilcott, Leo Williams & Levi Williams for having 100% Attendance in April

Bushidō Hombu Dojo Sponsored Walk

Pen y Fan Saturday 25th April 2026 @ 11am

With just over a week away, weather is looking good for all next week in Brecon.

So 🤞🏻 it will stay like this… with this being the case we will be doing our Bushidō Hombu Dojo Sponsored Walk on this date.. @ 11am

If you cannot make this date please inform me as I will be creating a Register for the day.. So we can take a register at the start of the climb, at the Summit and then on the end of the decent down at the car park.

If you cannot make the date and have received Sponsor Money… we will arrange a separate sponsored walk around Tyn y Bryn Park.

Parents who are coming please also let me know to add your names as we want to make sure we have enough adults / parents per children for the day.

Please reply to this post or text to add your names.

Itinerary

As we know some families have small children so we will not be starting early, we will all meet at Pont ar Daf Car Park at the base of Pen y Fan, please be aware spaces are limited and parking charges apply I believe when I went last month it was £7 for the day !!

If I can please ask for everyone to be on time for a 11am start and if anyone is running late please let me know.

Google Maps Link Below

https://maps.app.goo.gl/cDviWptZuedPJ7Z67?g_st=ic

The temperature is looking at 15 degrees, sunny with clouds..

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear, the path up to Pen y Fan is good but at some points can change..

Also remember to wear warm clothes it’s always best to wear layers and take off not needed. As you cannot add if you haven’t got.
You will get warm on the climb up but the moment you reach the flat at the top and then the summit, the temperature can change immediately due to the wind.
Please bring your own fluids and there will be time at the summit for some snacks.

VERY IMPORTANT

We will be doing this climb as a group and we will have pacers at the front, middle and back.

Post Summit Climb

If anyone fancies after the climb some lunch or a drink anywhere let me know on Tuesday and I can look at some places to stop on the return home…
