I’m pleased to confirm that the draft draws are ready for next weekend’s BKF International Open 2026, which are available on Sportdata.

Please review the draws to check that athletes are in the correct categories and let me know today (care of [email protected]) if any changes are required. N.B. If we need to move competitors from one category to another, we may need to redraw one or both categories.

Once the draws are finalised this evening, I’ll aim to complete the championships timetable tomorrow.

The British Karate Federation (BKF) is the sole National Karate Federation
for the United Kingdom recognised by the World Karate Federation (WKF),
the international governing body for sport karate and the organisation
recognised by the International Olympic Committee

The BKF is constituted by the following recognised Home Nation governing bodies:

· English Karate National Governing Body (EKNGB)

· Scottish Karate Governing Body (SKGB)

· Welsh Karate Governing Body (WKGB)

· Northern Ireland Karate Board (NIKB)

These organisations collectively form the BKF and are the only bodies authorised to represent their respective Home Nations within the World Karate Federation and the European Karate Federation structures

The BKF does not recognise, endorse, or associate itself with any statements, claims, or opinions—whether explicit or implied—issued by karate groups, organisations, or individuals not affiliated with the WKF or not in membership of the BKF.

Only communications from BKF‑recognised bodies reflect the official position of the United Kingdom within the WKF framework
