Help us get Solihull Tennis Club ready for autumn!

We hope all members have enjoyed plenty of tennis at Solihull Tennis Club over the summer and are looking forward to keeping your racquets swinging through the autumn and winter months.

We want to make sure the club and its facilities continue to be maintained to the high standards you expect. You may have already noticed that we’ve recently had our courts professionally cleaned as part of this work, but there’s still more to do.

We’d love your help.

We’re organising an Autumn Tidy-Up at STC on Saturday 17th October, from 12 noon to 3pm, and we’d be delighted if members could spare a couple of hours to lend a hand.

There’ll be a variety of jobs to get stuck into, including:

• Painting the wooden benches, chairs and table
• Weeding and tidying the grounds
• Giving the clubhouse a general tidy-up

Refreshments will be provided for all volunteering members, and once the hard work is done, you’ll have the chance to pick up your racquet and join the regular Saturday afternoon social tennis session.

Even if you can only spare an hour, every bit of help will make a difference.

If you’re able to join us on Saturday 17th October, please let us know in the comments below so we can get an idea of numbers.

We hope to see lots of members there… many hands make light work!

There’s nothing quite like stepping onto a clean, well-maintained tennis court.

Safe courts are an essential part of any tennis club, and at Solihull Tennis Club we take great pride in keeping ours in excellent condition.

To maintain the standard we all expect, we regularly bring in an external contractor to professionally deep clean and treat the courts.

Following last week’s clean, our courts are looking great!

Fancy getting fitter without going to the gym?

Tennis gets you moving, keeps your brain working and crucially doesn't have to feel like exercise.

Whether you're a complete beginner or already know your way around a tennis court, Solihull Tennis Club has ways to get involved.

Come for the fitness. Stay because you're having too much fun to notice it.

Could your child be our next tennis star?
Or perhaps they just want to have fun, make friends and learn something new.

Either way, Solihull Tennis Club has a full programme of junior coaching for different ages and abilities, delivered by qualified coaches.

It's not about being the next Wimbledon champion.

It's about learning skills, building confidence, getting active and enjoying the game.

Give them a racket. Give them a chance. See where it takes them.

Find out about junior coaching on our website.
