A brief heritage overview with member and golf course historian, Simon Haines.
From an unfinished Harry Vardon course to a Harry C**t design at the peak of his powers, we remain proud to have 13 original C**t greens intact today.

Thanks to the summer heat, our course is playing exactly as C**t would have liked.
Firm, fast fairways that require thought and strategy on each hole, rewarding a positional game over brute force.

The opening six holes require you to execute well off the tee and find the greens. It's not until the 7th that you have the first genuine birdie opportunity of the round. Avoiding the well-placed bunkers will leave you with a great chance to pick up a shot on this shorter par 5.
Our 8th. The bunkers short of the green on this short dogleg par 4 mean the best policy from the tee is to play as close to the right-side fairway bunkers as possible. In doing so, you open up the best view of the green.
