⚽ COMETS | IN THEIR WORDS

When a child gets themselves dressed and ready for football even when there isn't a session that day, you know they must be enjoying it! 😊

Devaansh's parent recently sent us this lovely feedback about his time at Comets and the difference the sessions have made to him.

Devaansh is pre-verbal and has only recently started developing his imitation skills, so it's been brilliant to hear how he's learning to follow the coaches, copy what they're showing him and get involved in the sessions.

His parent also told us how much confidence and hope it's given them to see what Devaansh can do when he's supported in the right way.

If you think Comets could be right for your child, they're very welcome to come along and give it a try.

ADULT FIXTURES FOR THIS WEEKEND

Just the three games taking place this weekend for the adult teams as the 1st Team and Veterans have a week off with no fixture

The A Team go into this home game against Birmingham Medics in great form having won 3 and drawn one of their 4 matches so far, all against very good opposition
The visitors are fresh from their 6-1 victory at SXR last Saturday over our B Team though so will be looking to do the double over Sils in back to back weekends

The B team travel away to face Village B in Division 1 hoping to climb further up the table to compete near the top
Sammy Webster's team play a Village side that are yet to pick up a point in the league so far

Our C Team are back on home turf this week playing Walsall Phoenix in Division 4 - this will be the away side's first game of the season having not completed a fixture yet
A win tomorrow would put Sils level on points with top so they'll be hoping for another top performance

⚽ COMETS | IN THEIR WORDS

This is why Comets matters.

When Felicity first joined the sessions, she needed her walker to move with the ball. Now she's walking and running with it unaided – and, just as importantly, she's having fun, learning something new each week and growing in confidence.

We asked some of our Comets parents and children what they thought of the sessions, and Felicity and her parent sent us this lovely feedback.

If you have a child aged 5–11 with a sensory, learning or physical disability and think they might enjoy giving football a go, we'd love to welcome them along.

There's no pressure and no commitment – their first session is completely FREE so they can come along and see how they get on.
