Dimensions Dance Company Essex College offers high quality professional dance training to young, dedicated students with an aspiration to entertain.

We are a well established creative dance company based in Essex at South Essex College, founded by Emily Balls and Rebecca Blowes. Our goal is to provide a stepping stone in dance education to take pupils through to a vocational level of training from 16. We provide vocational level training while gaining a level 2 or level 3 diploma from the University of Arts London. We are lucky enough to be the only provision in the area to be offering this government funded course which gives dance students a chance to excel their training in a college environment before progressing onto a full time vocational college.

Who Are We?

Dimensions Dance Company has been part of South Essex College since 2014, delivering the UAL Level 3 Dance Programme to aspiring dancers looking to develop their training and prepare for progression into Higher Education, vocational training, or careers within the performing arts industry.

Students train across a range of dance genres while exploring current industry practice through a variety of practical and creative learning experiences.

Through performance opportunities, industry-focused projects, and technical training, students build the confidence, independence, and professional skills needed for their next steps.

As part of South Essex Colleges Group, students also have access to a wide range of support services and opportunities, including financial support, wellbeing and counselling services, Additional Learning Support (ALS), enrichment activities, and GCSE English and Maths resits where required.
