SURFC are proud to announce the formation of a third 15 for the up coming 2026/27 season. This is yet another big step forward that the club has produced to tackle its growth in recent years.

This new team will be playing in the 4th tier of Scottish university rugby and will give the opportunity to new and returning players who are looking for more game time to improve their skills and enjoy their rugby.

This team is a testament of the success and expanding player base of SURFC’s 1st and 2nd XV’s last year and will help the club move forward into our new of era rugby. 🤩

🚨PRESEASON 26/27🚨

New players are heavily encouraged to come and join us this year as it is the best way to integrated into the squad.

Further information on dates, timings and locations will be posted closer to the date.

If you are interested in joining us next season the role pays between £14-£18 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Coaching hours are 5:30–7:30pm on Mondays, 4 hours on Wednesdays, and 3:00–5:30pm on Fridays.

🏅40 CAPS 🏅

Massive congratulations to Ewan Hunter for reaching an unprecedented 40 Caps for the club.

A mainstay in the 1’s back row throughout his time in Stirling, Yunter was instrumental in the double-double season in his second year, and the Tier 1 win this season. Yunter has been a pivotal part of the club with his relentless work off the ball and impressive try count contributing to our success.

We look forward to welcoming Yunter back to Stirling next year with half a century of caps within reach 💚

With the 2025/26 season now concluded, we’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone involved in the club, and those who have supported us this season.

Despite falling short in our final playoff game, we are incredibly proud of the clubs efforts this season with the 1’s winning the league and 2’s pushing for promotion.

The clubs success both on and off the pitch wouldn’t have been possible without the work of our clubmen and those involved in coaching and s&c at the club. We’d also like to thank our sponsors for their continued support and photographers , and who have supported us throughout the year.

Final thank you to our committee who have worked tirelessly throughout the year, and to our leavers who have given so much time and effort to the club over their time at University.

The boys look to make history tomorrow as only 80 minutes of rugby stands between them and promotion to North Prem 2 for the first time since 2019.

Congratulations to Ewan Hunter who is set to make an unprecedented 40th appearance for the club tomorrow 💚

Euan McGovern and Charlie Borwick are set to make their debuts for the club with Morgan Hainsworth and Tom Pedley also travelling with the squad as travelling reserves.
