Burntisland Swimming Club

Between 10am and 4pm tomorrow (Saturday 3rd January) our swimmers will be bag-packing at Morrisons Kirkcaldy to help raise funds for our 2026 training camp - please pop in and see them!

Happy New Year to all of our members and friends! A big year ahead for BASC as we celebrate our 140th anniversary - making us one of the oldest continuously running swimming clubs in the UK 💛🖤

We are a bit behind with our posts but BASC had a fantastic prizegiving evening a couple of weeks ago, it was great to celebrate all of our swimmers successes this year - followed by a family ceilidh! Well done everyone 🌟💃🕺

BASC swimmers Edith and Sorren attended the Scottish Swimming East District Young Leaders event at Fordell Firs last weekend.

They've come back with loads of great ideas about ways we can continue to engage swimmers, raise funds and hold Fife Sports & Leisure Trust to account for the recent short notice cancellations of Club training at the Beacon.

ANNUAL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS - FINALS!
This year's annual club champs will take place at Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre on Saturday 1st November, warm up from 1.30pm, racing starts around 2pm.

All welcome to come and spectate/support our swimmers 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️🏊

Thanks to all that have handed in trophies so far …. If you were planning on handing any in this week please do so Tues or Thursday training, otherwise keep till after the October break.
Please give them a wee clean & polish if you can too, there’s a lot of them if we have to do them all x

Team BASC competed at the Hearts Premier Age Group Meet yesterday. New East District times added for Isabelle, Callum and Eleanor, and Sam upgraded from a consideration to what we expect to be a qualifying time for his 50 Free 👌
