2026 has been a fantastic year for our Women’s Softball team.
Over the season, the team has grown in confidence, ability and numbers, welcoming everyone from players returning to cricket after years away to those picking up a bat for the very first time.
And what a difference a year makes. After not winning a single league game in our first season together, this year has brought multiple league victories and tournament wins at Durham Riverside and Hetton Lyons. 🙌
But the best part? The friendships built along the way. The encouragement, laughter and support within this group are what make the team so special.
A huge thank you to our scorers and umpires Alex, Theo and Freddie, and especially to our coach Shep, whose time, patience, encouragement and belief in the team have been unwavering.
We’re incredibly proud of how far this group has come, and we can’t wait to see what 2027 brings. Anything is possible.
