Proper 9th-tier football at its absolute finest! ⚽️🔥

We headed down to Sheepy Road to catch Atherstone Town FC taking on Lutterworth Town in the United Counties League Premier Division South.

From iconic floodlights and a sloped pitch to five goals and a red card, non-league matchdays never miss. Atherstone came away with a hard-fought 3-2 victory to keep their strong start going! 📈

Save £1,200 on flights to Australia... just head to Derbyshire instead! ✈️🇦🇺 ➡️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

For Ground #261, I visited Melbourne Sports Park for a Central Midlands Alliance League clash between Melbourne Dynamo FC and Derby Singh Brothers!

At £0 admission, £3 pin badges, and £2 match programmes, this £2.5M multi-sport facility is a proper non-league gem. Great clubhouse with a balcony view over the pitch, friendly volunteers, and a 6-goal thriller on the night! ⚽🔥

Groundhop Breakdown:
📍 Location: Melbourne Sports Park, Cockshut Lane
🎟️ Entry: Free
📖 Programme: £2 | Pin Badge: £3
⚽ Final Score: Melbourne Dynamo 1-5 Derby Singh Brothers

Has anyone else been to Cockshut Lane? Where’s the best non-league ground in the Midlands I should visit next? Let me know in the comments! 👇

RED CARD FOR WHAT?! 🟥😳

Ground #260 took me down to Wood Park to catch Alsager Town FC taking on Stafford Town FC in the Northwest Counties League Division One South!
It was a proper 5-goal thriller, but the biggest talking point came early in the second half... A Stafford Town player was sent off after allegedly calling the linesman "overweight"! 🤯

Match Breakdown:
🎟️ Entry: £6
📌 Pin Badge: £3
🧀 Food: Cheese & sausage oatcakes (£4 for 2) — absolutely top tier! 10/10
⚽ Final Score: Alsager Town 2-3 Stafford Town

Ground #258: Park Hall Stadium (The New Saints FC) 🏟️⚽️

Ticked off a big one on the list! I headed over to Park Hall Stadium to watch 18-time Cymru Premier champions The New Saints take on Haverfordwest County.

Really impressed with the matchday setup here:

🎟️ Tickets: £11 Adult admission (got a paper ticket!)
📌 Pin Badge: £5 for the collection
🍻 Pre-match: Grabbed a pint in the Hog’s Inn (cracking open-plan clubhouse with live music and European pendants on display)
⚽️ Match: A solid performance from TNS to secure a 2–0 win and pick up their first 3 points of the season!
I'm currently on a mission to hit 300 football grounds this season! 📍

Ever heard of this rule at a non-league match? 😅⚽️

Hit Ground #257 on the groundhopping journey—Long Lane Park for Cresswell Wanderers vs Cannock Town in the Staffordshire League Premier Division.

We set up behind the goal, but the linesman asked us to move because standing there might "distract the goalkeeper." 😭 Over 250 grounds visited and that’s definitely a first!

When a Serie A team brings over 200 passionate fans straight into Lancashire! 🇮🇹⚽️

For Ground #256 of the journey, I headed down to Turf Moor to catch Burnley FC host Italian side Torino in a pre-season clash.

There is nothing quite like traditional English football culture—a £20 ticket, a classic £4 pin badge, and iconic terrace houses framing the stadium. Turf Moor was built all the way back in 1883, making it one of the oldest active grounds in professional football!

The traveling Torino supporters brought unreal energy to Lancashire, creating a proper European matchday atmosphere.

👇 Groundhoppers & Football Fans:
Is Turf Moor one of the most underrated stadium experiences in the UK? What stadium should I add to my list for Ground #257? Drop your recommendations below!
