Travelling with your dog in warm weather? A little planning can make the journey safer and more comfortable.

Before you set off, keep these essentials in mind:
- Cool the car first and keep it well ventilated throughout the journey.
- Travel at cooler times of day where possible, especially for longer trips.
- Pack plenty of fresh water and offer it regularly during stops.
- Plan breaks along the way so your dog can rest, stretch and cool down.
- Choose shaded places to stop and be mindful of hot pavements.
- Never leave your dog alone in a vehicle, even briefly.
- Keep an eye on behaviour and act quickly if your dog seems unsettled, unusually tired or overheated.

๐ŸŒž Fun Agility Cancelled This Evening ๐Ÿพ

With the warm weather continuing, we have made the decision to cancel this eveningโ€™s Fun Agility session.

Unlike Mondayโ€™s pet dog training, agility is a high-energy activity requiring plenty of running, jumping, and physical exertion for both dogs and handlers alike and so, mixed with the warm weather, we feel cancelling agility is an appropriate & sensible decision to make.

We know many of you were looking forward to this evening, and we appreciate your understanding.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you all again on Monday and at the next Fun Agility session which will be on Wednesday 12th August ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒž Training Tonight ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿพ

It is set to be a warm one this evening, but do not worry, the barn will be lovely and cool, making it the perfect place to enjoy some training with your dog ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’™

Just a couple of reminders before you head out:
๐Ÿ’ง Please bring plenty of water for you and your dog.
๐Ÿš— Please do not leave any dogs in your car while you are training another dog, as vehicles can become dangerously hot very quickly.

If you decide not to attend this evening because of the warm weather, that is absolutely fine. Your training fee will not be affected, we will simply carry it forward to next weekโ€™s session. ๐Ÿ˜Š

We cannot wait to see everyone for a fun evening of training. Stay cool, stay hydrated, see you tonight ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ˜Š

Warm weather can make going out or attending canine events more tiring for dogs, so please take a moment to think about how your dog may cope before travelling or competing.

Every dog is different. Consider the journey, time spent waiting, access to shade and fresh water, and how your dog usually manages in warmer conditions.

If it feels like the day might be too much for them, itโ€™s OK to change plans. Trust your judgement and do whatโ€™s right for your dog.

Their comfort and welfare come first.
