Annie Reid is 75 years old and just finished a HYROX World Championship race in Stockholm in 2:22:06.
She placed 12th in the women's 70-74 age category, competing against 17 of the best athletes on the planet in 33-degree heat.
She only started training at a gym in Lavenham, Suffolk, a few years ago. Now she's targeting the 75-79 category next. And after that? She wants to be the first woman to compete solo at HYROX Worlds at age 80.
Her coach said she approached every station "cool, calm and collected." One station at a time. No panic. Just ex*****on.
The T-shirts her family wore said "Powerful Pensioner." She loved it.
What's the oldest age you've seen someone competing at a high level in endurance sport, and did it change how you think about your own timeline?

We’re incredibly proud to see our amazing client, Annie Reid, featured by the BBC following her performance at the HYROX World Championships.
At 75 years old, Annie travelled to Stockholm to compete against the best athletes in the world in her age category, finishing 12th with an incredible performance. But if you know Annie, you’ll know this is about so much more than the result.
From day one, she’s approached every training session with determination, humility and a willingness to embrace the challenge. She trusts the process, puts in the work and proves week after week that age is never the limit.
Her next goal? To become the first woman to compete in the HYROX World Championships solo at the age of 80.
We couldn’t be prouder to have been part of her journey so far. Annie, you inspire us, our members and everyone who believes they’re “too old” to start something new.
Congratulations on an incredible achievement - we can’t wait to see what the next five years bring.

When you’re being interviewed outside the arena after competing at the HYROX World Championships, you know it’s been a pretty good weekend.
It was fantastic to see sharing her story with BOXROX , talking about her race, the work that went into preparing for it, and what’s next.
Her journey is proof that it’s never too late to set big goals, take on new challenges and surprise yourself.
Watch this space… we’re not convinced she’s finished yet. 👀🔥

Huge well done to one of our cherished members, 👏
Recently she hit a massive milestone - over 10kg (22lb) lost 📉💥
This is a huge achievement, but the reason we’re so proud of her goes far beyond the number on the scales.
Over the years, Victoria has had to navigate back problems, multiple surgeries, setbacks and all the frustrations that can come with trying to prioritise your health and fitness around everyday life. Instead of giving up, we’ve adapted, adjusted and kept moving forward. She’s continued to show up, put the work in and trust the process.
And that consistency has paid off.
She’s now stronger, fitter, more capable and more confident than ever before - not only achieving an incredible transformation physically, but proving to herself just how much she’s capable of.
The best part? She’s now preparing to take on an exciting new challenge with Nuclear Fit, something that once would have felt impossible 👊
We’re proud of you Victoria and can’t wait to see what you achieve next! 👏🤩

Yesterday, completed her very first Hybrid Fitness Event - Nuclear Fit ☢️🏅🏃♀️💨💪 .fit
Last year, she set herself a goal. She wanted something that would push her outside of her comfort zone, challenge her physically and mentally and leave her feeling like she’d achieved something massive.
And that’s exactly what she did.
From zero running, managing injuries and juggling a busy schedule, we’ve gradually built her fitness to the point where she didn’t just survive yesterday… she looked strong, composed and completely in control throughout.
🏃♀️ 6km of running
💪 6 challenging full-body workout stations
🔥 One huge achievement
And the best part? She tackled the whole event at her own pace with a smile on her face from start to finish.
It was brilliant to be there supporting her throughout the day and seeing all the hard work pay off.
Huge well done Gemma 👏🏅
