We’ve had a fantastic day at the Your School Games National Summit at the Telford International Centre, joining colleagues from across the country to celebrate and develop the future of school sport and physical activity.

The day has been packed with valuable networking opportunities, engaging workshops, inspiring case studies, and insightful discussions with National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and School Games partners. It has been a great opportunity to share ideas, learn from best practice, and explore new ways to create positive experiences for young people through sport and physical activity.

One of the highlights of the day was hearing from keynote speaker Amar Latif, whose inspirational story and powerful message about resilience, determination and embracing challenges left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

We’re looking forward to taking away everything we’ve learned and using it to continue supporting schools, teachers and young people across Calderdale through the School Games programme.

What an incredible evening at our Everybody Dance Now event💃🕺

We welcomed 6 fantastic schools, all of whom prepared and performed amazing dance routines on stage in front of a packed audience. The energy, creativity and confidence on display were brilliant to see, and every school should be so proud of their performances.

A huge thank you to all the schools, teachers, staff and spectators who helped make the event such a success. Your support and enthusiasm created an unforgettable atmosphere for everyone involved!

⛳ Today we were at The Halifax Golf Club alongside students from LLS Online for an exciting Golf CPD day!

Students spent the day developing their knowledge and skills in golf, preparing to deliver fantastic primary golf festivals later in the academic year 🏌️‍♂️

They were a real credit throughout the day—well done to everyone involved! 👏

🌟 WOW! What an incredible achievement in our Virtual London Marathon Challenge! 🌟

Together, 14 schools and 1,637 participants ran an amazing 6,195,573 metres — the equivalent of 142.75 marathons and 35,390 laps of their school playgrounds! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️👏

A huge well done to every pupil, teacher and school community who took part. Your energy, determination and teamwork have been fantastic to see.
