What a great Orange Event yesterday! 🎾

There was some fantastic tennis on display throughout the day, along with excellent sportsmanship from all the players. It was brilliant to see so many competitive matches played in such a positive and supportive atmosphere.

We finished with a fun doubles session, which was a great way to round off the event and brought plenty of smiles along the way.

A big thank you to everyone who played, supported, and helped make the day such a success. We look forward to seeing you all back at Cary Park Tennis Club soon! 👏🎾

Brilliant day for these 4 at the ARC Summer Open today! 🎾👏

Billie and Woody both played four matches each to battle their way through to the boys’ and girls’ red ball finals, showing real determination, effort, and resilience throughout the day.

In the end, they both came away with well-deserved runners-up medals 🥈

Well done as well to Hugo and Cerys for some great battles in the orange ball singles and doubles events. Cerys gained some fantastic experience throughout the day, while Hugo finished with a brilliant doubles win 👏

A great tournament that was really well run from start to finish.

Really proud of how they all played, the effort they put in, and the way they kept going all day long. A brilliant day of competition and experience for everyone involved 👏

We recently held our Whirlwind Mini Red Tennis event in very hot conditions ☀️🎾

It was great to see players from all over Devon come together for the event. All of the children showed fantastic effort and determination, each playing 5 matches throughout the day.

We finished with a fun game together and every player fully deserved the certificate they received at the end.

Well done to everyone for their great attitude, sportsmanship and energy all day 👏🏆

Great day of tennis yesterday in the U12 National Club League as Cary Park Tennis Club took on Victoria Park in some seriously hot conditions ☀️🎾

Both teams competed brilliantly throughout, with great attitudes, sportsmanship, and effort on display in every match.

Cary Park came away with the win, but most importantly it was a fantastic afternoon of tennis and a great experience for all the players involved 👏

We’re incredibly proud of Dawson, who last week was invited to a Civic Reception hosted by Mayor of Torbay in recognition of his contribution to sport through Believe to Achieve, alongside some of Torbay’s top junior athletes.

Last summer, Dawson received a sporting grant from Believe to Achieve and Torbay Council to support his ongoing tennis development. The panel said it was “incredibly inspiring to hear about his many achievements in tennis and his ambitions for the future” and named him one of Torbay On The Move’s Believe to Achieve Ambassadors.

There’s even more to celebrate this week, as Dawson has also been selected to represent Devon in the LTA 11U County Cup 2026 this June. The County Cup is the pinnacle of junior county tennis, and it’s a tremendous honour. Dawson is extremely proud to represent Devon and is looking forward to supporting his team. 🎾👏

What a proud moment for two incredible tennis sisters! ⭐️🎾

Leah has smashed it with her selection for both U12s and stepping up into the U14s - a fantastic achievement that shows just how much hard work, dedication, and talent she’s putting into her game. 💪🔥

But little sister Cerys wasn’t about to be outdone! She’s proudly earned her place in the U9s and U10s County Cup teams, proving that determination clearly runs in the family 💪🎾

The future looks bright for these two! 🎾👭 Well done girls, we are all so proud of you.

Huge congratulations to Leah Stubbs for representing Devon at the U14 County Cup tennis competition last weekend! 🎾

An incredible achievement - especially as she has also recently played for the Devon U12 team.

Leah competed against players from the Channel Islands, Gloucestershire, South Wales, and Wiltshire- gaining fantastic experience at a high level.

A brilliant effort and something to be very proud of 👏

Also, a big well done to Charlie, who won the Men’s Grade 4 Singles at the Kerrier Open in Redruth, narrowly beating Josh in the semi-finals - an excellent achievement!

And congratulations to Josh & Dan for winning the Men’s Doubles at the Kerrier Open in Redruth - great teamwork and a fantastic result!

Great to see our coaches out competing as well, setting such a positive example for the next generation 👏🎾
