Did you know...

10/06/2026

"I no longer felt like a fat man trying to lose weight. I felt like a runner again." πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

When Ryan came to me, he had two things on his mind: get fit, and be a role model for his kids!

He was 89.6kg, coming back from injury, and though most people around him would never have guessed it, he was low.

In his own words later on: "People always said I was smiling and happy. They never realised that underneath, I was low."

Here's what this dad has done since:

πŸ“‰ Lost 10lbs in his first FOUR WEEKS, and bagged a half-marathon PB in the same breath!

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Ran the Plymouth Half in 1:43… then smashed the Torbay Half in 1:34. Twelve months earlier, going under 1:45 felt impossible to him!

πŸ… Beat a personal best on his Saturday 12-mile run that had stood untouched for FOUR YEARS
⚑ Knocked out a 5k in 20 minutes and fell in love with hill sprints
πŸ‘• Went from XL β†’ L β†’ Medium tops, and dropped to a 34" waist, punching new holes in his belt along the way!

πŸ’ͺ Built real, visible muscle and definition in his arms, chest and back!

But the moment that says it all?

His little girl, because kids are brutally honest, looked at him one day and asked, "Daddy, where's your tummy gone?" 🀣

And after his photo shoot, he told me something I'll never forget:

"For the first time in my life, I like and feel proud of myself when I stand in front of the mirror."

This was never just about weight. Ryan got his fitness back, his confidence back, his mental health in a better place, and he did it through real life.

Through work stress. Through a work trip in America (came back having gained just 2kg and got straight back on it). Through low weeks where the only thing that kept him anchored was showing up anyway!

He even opened up publicly about how he'd been feeling, and the response floored him!

That's what's possible!

You don't need to be an athlete. You need a plan, support, and the decision to start. πŸ‘‡

Drop me a πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ or a DM. Be the role model. They're watching!!

The biggest mistake I see?

People slash their food, lose energy, and then wonder why they can't train!

Here's the thing, if you fuel properly, you can train harder. Train harder, and the fat loss takes care of itself!

Starve yourself and you'll be too flat to do the work that actually changes your body!

Eat enough to move well. Move well to get lighter. Get lighter to move even better!

That's the loop!

Save this for the next time you're tempted to skip a meal "to speed things up." πŸ“Œ

Reset the loop!

Make it your standard

I want to be honest about this picture before anyone gets the wrong idea.

The version on the left isn't me. It's what I'd look like if I let things slip. If I stopped showing up, started telling myself I'd begin on Monday, and let the small promises slide one by one. I made it to show myself where that road actually leads.

Because the truth is, that version is always closer than I'd like to admit. It's only a few skipped workouts and a few "I'll start tomorrows" away. The body is the last thing to change, but the habits go first, quietly, before you even notice.

The side on the right is the version I'm choosing to protect. Not through some massive overhaul, but through the small stuff nobody sees. Eating like I care. Training when I don't feel like it. Keeping the promises I make to myself even when no one's watching.

And if you're feeling more like that left side right now, I'm not here to make you feel bad. I'm here to tell you it's not the end of anything. It's just a starting point, the same place every real change begins.

THIS is what "fit at 50" actually looks like. πŸ’ͺ

When Ali came to me in July, she had one goal written at the top of her plan: "Be the example of fit at 50."

She started at 196lb. She hadn't run in years. Her core strength had "declined," her confidence was hiding under baggy clothes, and like so many women, her first instinct on a hard day was the "f*ck it" mindset, the treat, the write-off, the start-again-Monday cycle!

Fast forward to now. Here's what Ali has actually done:

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ Went from not running at all β†’ her first 5k β†’ her first Parkrun β†’ 10k β†’ her **longest run EVER at 14k smashing personal bests almost every single week!

πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ Squatted 50kg as a total beginner (with and I quote "dodgy knees")

πŸ“‰ Dropped her BMI below 30 and body fat below 35%, a Garmin "fitness age" of under 50!

πŸ‘– Dropped multiple clothing sizes and is mid-way through a full wardrobe clear-out of the "cover-up" clothes she'd hidden in for years!

πŸ₯¦ Got to the point where hitting her nutrition is just a "habit" not a battle!

But here's the bit that actually matters.

Ali didn't do this in a perfect, easy stretch. She did it through menopause and HRT changes. Through plantar issues and tight calves. Through dark, freezing 5:15am winter mornings when her brain told her to stay in bed. Through anniversaries, parties, holidays, and "bottomless brunches" learning to enjoy life AND stay on track instead of choosing one or the other.

In her own words: "6 months ago I would have comfort-eaten. I didn't."

She stopped being "a person trying to lose weight" and became "a person who lives a healthy lifestyle."

She's even inspired a colleague to start running.

That's the whole point. This was never about a number on a scale. It's about energy, confidence, control, and proving to yourself what's possible.

So this is your sign. πŸ‘‡

Let Ali be the walking proof that you can acheive something special after the age of 50!

33lbs down and still counting

Big Shoutout legend! You are killing it at the moment, keep it up πŸ‘
