Signed off our season with a bang. No subs, 26 degrees , pure commitment and discipline with nothing but respect and admiration from the coaches.
The lads let the ball do the work and controlled the game from start to finish with some brilliant football played👍.

Our parents player was Blake M. One of 2 who played out of position today, as right wing back. Our conker tree never let nothing past him, kept tight to the opposition winger and never once let him turn. A geniune utility player that can play anywhere, and always with a smile 👊

Our managers player was the second player to play out of position, Bentley. An absolute rock in centre defence, winning header after header and challenge after challenge. We do struggle to get a smile out of him, but we’ll settle for that if he plays like today every week👍

We as a football club would like to thank everyone for supporting us lastnight. The turnout was unreal with over 100 people cheering for us.
Unfortunately it wasn’t our night but you can’t win them all. League winners and Walsall cup runners up isn’t a bad way to finish our first season.

Well done boys, you left it all on the pitch, which is all we ask of you.

Gates open at 7.00 p.m.

The entry fee is £2.00 per adult (children under the age of 16 are free of charge, but they MUST be accompanied by a supervising Adult who is over 18 years of age maximum 2 children per adult free). No one under 16 will be allowed in without an adult.

Please come along to support both teams and join us to celebrate.

Lane Head raiders 3 v 3 Lantern Villa FC.

The lads ground out a 3each draw today which was a fair result. After losing a few players to injuries through out the game and asking some to play positions they’ve never played before, proud is an understatement. We came up against a team that wanted it as much as us, with both teams giving it 100% until the final whistle.

Our parents player was Bentley. He attacked with purpose the first half and defended ruthlessly the second, great performance👌.

Our managers player was Bully. A tireless performance again from our mini maestro.
His skillset and passing ability were on point👍.

After today’s win the lads have booked their places in the finals.
The whole team chipped in and played their part, with players asking to come off for a breather due to the effort they put in.
A round of applause all round👏👏👏.

Our parents player today was Zeb. He commanded his area, was quick off his line and brave, pulling off a fair few saves throughout the game.@👌

Our managers player was max. His skill set has never been in question, which shone today, with a well take goal, but just lately he’s physically challenging for every ball, which is great to see👌

Willenhall AFC 1-7 Lantern Villa fc.

A very confident win today. We played to our strengths, defended and attacked as a unit and got the deserved win.
Our managers player today was Max. This lad came out of his shell today and got stuck in! His balling ability and sweet left foot have always been an attribute but now he’s starting to gain his physical confidence, the world’s his oyster👌
Our parents player was Louie. What a performance from this lad. He caused havoc for the opposition, chasing every ball with grit and determination, running at defenders and nearly getting his name on the scoresheet a few times. A proper old fashioned centre forward 👍
