Hello, I have gained a number of new followers so I thought it best to reintroduce myself!
My name is Cameron and I am a 33 years old self employed PT/Coach. I have been in business and qualified for just over 4 years now.

I wasn’t always into health and fitness. In fact, I have been largely overweight for most of my life. Even in my childhood I was always “the fat kid”.

I worked in hospitality for 12 years starting when I was 16 as a potwasher at the weekends working up to a full time restaurant and hotel manager. Believe it or not I had the same bosses for 10 years here. They were really good and I am a firm believer this career taught me my customer service and organisation skills.

In January 2021 I weighed a wopping 147kg, I hated myself and how I looked and felt. I decided I needed to sort myself out and make change. So I did, I took on a coach and initially dropped 63kg over the year. I have multiple posts on this so if you want check them out. I also talk about it on a podcast which you can listen to here, https://open.spotify.com/episode/04BChDQsPlL9i8XPUKkvY7?si=r4iq922mSxyXS42IXTV7ug&utm_source=copy-link

In 2021 the restaurant closed after the effects of covid and multiple lockdowns and I was made redundant. I had spent a while thinking and procrastinating on what I wanted to do next. I had a new found passion for health and fitness and I liked working with people.

I took the risk and gained my qualifications in gym instructing and personal training in March and June 2022.

I began working at Harridges Gym in May 2022 as a gym instructor and then launched my own personal training business you see here in July 2022 and I still am (clearly)

I have continued to invest in my education over the years since qualifying and will continue to do so!

My goal is to not only help people achieve what they thought they never could or have failed over and over again. It is to ALSO help them become the most confident versions on themselves and gain the tools and knowledge to sustain it for life!

So hello and thank you for following me! 😃

“How often should I train?” A question I get asked a lot and something you have probably wanted to know for yourself. The answer might surprise you…..

Most people think more means better results. But the old saying “too much of anything is not good” is very applicable here.

Now obviously it mostly depends on the individual, but being generic here are my thoughts and what I usually say.

If you’re just starting out or returning from a long time away from training, aim for 2–3 workouts a week. That’s enough to build strength, improve fitness, and recover properly.

If you’ve been training consistently and consider yourself an intermediate lifter, 3–4 sessions a week, maybe 5 but that would likely apply for a few people, is the sweet spot for most people.

And if you’re advanced? If you’re watching this or following me maybe you’re not, but if you are awesome! 5–6 days can work—but only if your recovery, sleep, and nutrition are on point.

Here’s the takeaway….The best training plan is the one you can stick to consistently.

Training seven days a week but burning out and hating it after a month? Not worth it.

Training three or four times every week for a year? That’s where real progress happens.

So don’t ask, “What’s the most I can train?” Expand and instead ask, “What’s the most I can recover from?”

Systems, structure and planning get results. Do you doubt my opinion? Ask some of the guys who shared a few wins this week.

Are you stuck or frustrated with lack@of progress?

Think it’s “impossible” to achieve change?

Maybe it’s not you it’s just your approach.

Maybe having someone guide you through the process is what you need?

Are you feeling it in your shoulders more in your shoulders when doing a lateral pulldown?

Try to think the following as one of the above may not be happening.

Yes weight loss and fat loss both require a consistent calorie deficit but they both have different approaches, reasons and outcomes

There is a MASSIVE flaw with fat loss…..

You will need to buy a new wardrobe eventually! But then again that isn’t really a flaw is it!

The chance and likely confidence to buy those clothes you have always wanted but couldn’t find in your size or have the confidence to buy and wear before. If anything this could be a “why” to continue with your fat loss goals!

Just like my client is finding here. Stick to the process and the rewards will come.

Things I DON’T make my fat-loss clients do 👇

❌ Cut out carbs
❌ Do hours of cardio
❌ Give up social occasions
❌ Start over every Monday
❌ Live on plain chicken, broccoli and rice. Unless they genuinely enjoy that of course!
❌ Be perfect everyday

So what do I do with my fat loss clients you say?
I work with them to….
✅ Build sustainable habits
✅ Strength train
✅ Eat enough protein
✅ Adopt an active lifestyle
✅ Learn to actually enjoy life around the goal
✅ Learn how to make progress and the tools needed to sustain the result without rebounding

Does this work?

See some of the results for yourself!

Fat loss doesn’t have to take over your life.
